In 2012, I helped to create the DalaliD brand on social media, which I managed until December 2022. Over 10 years, I have helped Dalal Al-Doub gain 3 million followers on Instagram, work with the biggest names in the fashion and makeup industry, launch a bakery, and establish an eponymous company.
For the first few years, I took Dalal’s photos, drafted her Instagram captions, negotiated business deals, reviewed contracts, designed her websites, prepared her for interviews and live appearances, and guided her through sensitive social moments.
When Dalal launched her company in 2018, I became an employee. By then, other people were taking her photos, designing her websites, reviewing her business contracts, and negotiating deals. Therefore, the company hired me as a Public Relations Consultant, where I carried on the work of maintaining the brand's integrity.
I continued to prepare Dalal for interviews and live appearances and to coach her through sensitive social moments. In addition, I drafted the vision and mission statements for the company and its branches, ensuring that all the new business ventures and products cohere with the company’s core values. For example, I wrote the concepts, item names, and/or descriptions of Tres Biege, Ambrette, Trend-Driven, Vterra, DalaliD’s Perfumes, Bricolage, arc, and To The Nines (the Social Media Agency).
I co-established Vterra, a plant-based, processed-sugar-free, vegan bakery in Al-Hamra Tower, with Dalal, Mimi, and Hamed, and sold my shares in June 2022.
I resigned from the company in 2022 when I completed an ICF-credited Coaching program (Coach Training Alliance’s Certified Coach Program). The training helped me recognize the boundaries between coaching, training, mentorship, management, teaching, and consulting.
Thus, I resigned from the company to focus on growing my skills and business as a creative writing teacher and creativity coach.
