Role : Oracle DBA.
Environments : Oracle 10g / 11g /12c database on HP-UX 11.31 and Red hat 6.4 for Various core Banking and front and middleware channels Application Systems.
Responsibilities :
• Availability to 24x7 on-call support on rotation basis for Production, UAT and Test Critical Banking Application databases.
• Pro-Active Database health monitoring using trace files and alert logs of all database instances related to various applications, and troubleshooting related issues.
• Handling database related Escalations and coordinating with Application teams resolving issues.
• Maintaining up to date PSU Oracle Patches and upgrading databases from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4 and 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2 for single instance Oracle databases.
• Coordinating and managing changes to database and deploying Application scripts related to database to implement all the changes efficiently.
• Installation, Database Creation and maintenance of other stand alone legacy applications databases.
• Monitoring server and database performance and coordinating in tuning activities analyzing areas of performance improvement for issues related to database.
• Performing Scheduled backup monitoring, implementing Backup and Recovery testing for Oracle database using RMAN and DATAPUMP utilities as per defined SLA policies.
• Involved in improving of Backup Methodologies and Recovery testing process.
• Replicating Production Issues on Development and UAT instances and resolving them.
• Managing Database Structure, Table/Index segments, Database User Access, Roles and Privileges.
• Monitoring & managing data files growth related activities involved in Table space Management and Capacity Planning assigned primary databases.
• Monitoring locks and User sessions and resolving Database hangs and blocking issue.
• Resolving Request Fulfillment Tickets related to Data validations, query modifications and access issues from various teams and ensuring resolution within defined SLA Agreement.
• Cloning production databases for UAT and QA testing for Operational Systems and refreshing as per requirement from Development Team.
• Migrating databases from one server to another as a part of internal resource management program.
• Creating database objects (tables, views, indexes, synonyms) once application developers have designed application and rebuilding the indexes and Gather statistics of tables to improve the performance as per requirement.
• Troubleshooting issues related to database connectivity (TNS, LISTENER issues).
• Performing root cause analysis for Production issues and Database failures along with oracle support.
• Organizing team meeting and co-ordinate with other team leads.
• Upgrading Skills based on Project requirements
• Creating Technical Notes and Documentation of all the activities.

1.11 Years of Experience as SQL Analyst giving L1 support to Data Migration Project.
Experience in Oracle 10g/11g Database administration under multi-platform environments, including installation and configuration of software, maintenance, disaster recovery management.
Experience in Database Creation/Maintenance (database instances), managing logical and physical database structures.
Having sound knowledge in Configuring and maintaining RMAN.
Primary knowledge of PL/SQL, Linux SHELL scripting and superior in SQL scripting.
Experience with Oracle 11g RAC installation, maintenance and support.
Implemented and maintained physical standby databases (Data Guard).
Good experience in designing and implementing Backup & Recovery policies.
Having good experience with the utilities like Data pump (Expdp & Impdp) and traditional export/import.
Performing health check on production, UAT & test environments.
Database User & Access Management ensuring database security.
Troubleshooting RAC instances and issues related to ASM.
Performed general technical troubleshooting and developed and implemented plans related to database capacity planning, Disaster Recovery strategies and Database Performance Tuning along with Production and development teams.
