Ø Customizing Lafarge H&S Management System to Aggregates & Concrete BU in Egypt
Ø Create, implement and follow-up the H&S improvement plan to meet Lafarge operational standards
Ø Facilitate RCA for all incidents and follow-up on corrective/preventive action plans implementation
Ø Promote H&S through events, interactive worker trainings and various committees

Scope: 4 plants + Head Quarters + 10 DCs + Fleet
Reporting to: Industrial Operations VP
Subordinates: 5 HSE Section Heads + 20 Safety Coordinators

 LTIFr reduced by 60% in 2 years
 Electricity consumption reduced by 20%
 Water consumption reduced by 5%
 Restructured the HSE department
 Created and issued the company’s HSE policy and principles
 Created a Central HSE Committee and subcommittees
 Implemented the Permit to Work and LOTO systems
 Created an electronic Incident Reporting system in collaboration with the IT department
 Implemented a Behavioral Safety program
Responsible for:
 Developing, implementing, and maintaining the HSE Management System that would enrich the working culture and secure the workplace
 Conducting HIRARC, JHA and Environmental Aspects studies
 Creating customized Standard Operating Procedures to improve HSE levels
 Investigating HSE incidents, to determine their root causes and prevent reoccurrence
 Identifying key performance indicators which enable measuring and monitoring the HSE performance
 Budgeting for the company’s annual HSE requirements
 Maintaining the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certification
 Communicating with governmental HSE bodies

Managing projects for delivering various safety consultancy services offered in DSS portfolio
Participating in the deliveries as part of the project team of consultants
Targeting and qualifying potential clients
Designing solutions based on the DSS offerings to meet clients’ needs
