June - August 2012 Summer Internship Trainee, Contract &Procurement Department at Petroleum Development Oman.
Duties: Actually two major tasks were assigned to me: a. The first task is to prepare a spreadsheet contains all the
standard documents used by the contract and procurement
department in the section of Business improvement and
intelligence with some necessary details and also delete some
of them which are too old and useless. This task was just a
shared work between my supervisor and me.
b. The main task I did at PDO was by using SAP program to
perform some transactions related to purchasing orders (PO) and purchasing requisition (PR) . The main transactions I did was to delete, release and to amend the PO's. In addition, I was working in changing the purchasing groups of the PO's and changing the currency of the purchasing orders when there are foreign products or materials sold or bought from foreign suppliers.
