General Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the Retail leasing of Abu Dhabi Mall (710, 000 SQ FT GLA): Mixed - Use Property: Shopping Centre, 2 Office Towers, Rotana 5* Hotel & Serviced Apartments Tower. Changed 90 % of the F&B GLA by bringing new brands since 2013. Changed 50 % of the overall GLA with new retailers since 2013
• Responsible for the Retail leasing of Bawabat Al Sharq Mall (640, 000 SQ FT GLA open since 2012): Mixed - Use Property: 1, 450 Apartments & Villas, Shopping Mall, and International Private School. Over 95 % leased property with international and local brands
• Responsible for the Retail leasing of Fujairah Mall (350, 000 SQ FT GLA) opened December 2015: Mixed-Use Property: Millennium 5* Business Hotel & Shopping Centre. Pre- leased anchors include: 75% pre-leased property with major international retailers as well as local retailers including: Paul, Mango, Cart and shoot, Aldo, Nine West, Geant, Toy Store, Le Boulanger (7, 000 sqf Arabic Themed Restaurant serving Shisha)
• Contribute in the Retail Leasing of the first High End Luxury Mall in Abu Dhabi, The Avenue at Etihad Towers: Mixed - Use Property. 5 Towers: Jumeirah 5* Hotel, 3 Residential Towers, Office Tower & High End Retail Gallery. Current Tenants include: Cartier, Hermès, Bvlgari, Van Cleef and Arpels, Tom Ford, Chloe, etc.
• Other projects include Sheikh Zahed Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi Visitor Center, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, other real estate properties owned by H.H. Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohamed Al Nahyan
Leasing Tasks:
• Responsible of the Leasing related activities of the Company following the standard operating procedures and as per approved Leasing strategies;
• prospecting the local and international markets to initiate Leasing negotiations and transactions;
• in-charge of initiating and finalizing Leasing transactions of empty units, units under re-tenanting situation, units for which the agreement might reach the termination date without renewal and units under renewal procedures, by following established standard operating procedures under the supervision of the CCO - Retail and Leasing Manager;
• For the activities requested in projects outside the GCC area, I am assigned from time to time to be in any territory and project outside the GCC area for the requirements of any projects other than the current project that I am in charge of;
• Using all the available contacts, relations, partnerships and tools to keep an updated potential stock of brands, concepts, market intelligence and changes, and in order to make them potentially available for the current and future requirements of all projects managed by Aswaq.
• Coordinating, as per standard operating procedures, with all concerned departments and divisions of Aswaq Management & Services and of projects managed by the company during leasing and commercial negotiations, transactions, formalizations, financial and administration aspects, handing over of premises in order to ease the relation between all involved parties in the same department and division;
• Using all the documents, systems, tools, computers, files and other items deemed necessary for the execution of the duty and according to the Company policy and will keep them in good condition of preservation, order and updated;
• Attending to all necessary training, seminars, conventions and other sessions as deemed necessary for the duties. ( ReCon, RLI, Mescs studies…)
• In general, adopting all necessary behavior to maintain the best image related to the position in accordance with the standards imposed by the Aswaq management and services.
• Performing all duties that might be required by Aswaq management and services and which will benefit the Company and the Sales & Leasing Department - Retail Division in general
