The job description includes the below mentioned points:
• Source, process and maintain equity reference and pricing data on Thomson Reuters products (Datascope Equities, 3000 Xtra) using technical and financial knowledge.
• Maintaining Identifier information like ISIN, TICKER and LOCAL CODE etc., on Thomson Reuters database for various business events, validation and maintenance of pricing information for Emerging markets.
• Have been primary contact for Thomson Reuters Reference data (Emerging Markets).
• Communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders for resolving client queries raised through SIEBEL(Customer Relationship Management application).
• Work closely with exchange mangers in case of any major client impacting issues.
• Product Testing: Pre testing on any major events like launch of new exchange on the test environment to ensure all the issues are fixed prior to releasing it to the product.
• Raise Data notification on new enhancements and about future business or market driven initiatives with detailed explanation to ensure the clients are pre informed about the change and can take necessary from their end.
• Identifying opportunities to automate existing business processes to ensure reduction in manual efforts and improve the quality standards.
• Timely alerting the clients by raising alerts in case of service impacting issues.
• Documentation of method of working and reviewing it periodically for any new enhancements or change in the process.
• Designing metrics as per the client requirement to ensure data quality, accuracy, timeliness and completeness standards are met for the financial information delivered by Thomson Reuters.
• Responsible for implementing projects like support of new exchange data on Thomson Reuters products.
• Design Training Plan and train new joiners on maintenance of reference and pricing data on Thomson Reuters Products (Datascope Select, Datascope Equities).
The Primary job profile of my work is acquisition of data from various stock exchanges, suppliers, third party vendors, process the raw data and upload them into the database.
I as an individual is also responsible for sending holiday mails across all stakeholders on daily basis. I am also responsible in posting Data Alerts informing our clients if there is any kind of delay in processing files. The delay might be due to problem with supplier server or problem with the exchange server etc. I mainly look after the emerging as well as UK markets in processing the daily based tasks. I process the raw data that we receive from the exchanges daily change them in simpler format and then update those data information into our products.
I am also responsible for proactively finding content related issues with our Trading Solutions market data content that is carried in both our data feed and desktop products. The role will also be called upon to test and/or research customer reported problems. This role is specifically NOT a technology quality assurance role but rather one that focuses on ensuring the quality and correctness of market data and other associated content we expose through our Trading Solutions content services from the perspective of local market conventions/rules rather than from the perspective of a software QA function.
