As a Project Engineer, I led architectural department, engineers supervisor, assistant supervisors & site manpower to accomplish project goals, schedule, deadlines & quality that should meet US standards. This project includes 6-story Consular Annex, chief of mission residence, new office building, three 8-story staff residence buildings, 3-story recreational building, marine security guard quarters, warehouse building, 3-level parking garage etc. BLHI is among the top rank companies of USA with highest construction and safety standards.
Responsibilities.
• Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
• Determine project specifications by studying product design, completing technical studies, customer requirements and performance standards.
• Determine & Plan responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements.
• Plan & Develop project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements and Lead; Engineers, Supervisors & Asst. Supervisors to meet this work plan with quality work according to company & US standards.
• Participate in daily meetings with management including Project Manager, Construction Manager, Head of Material dept. Heads of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil department.
• Monitor the whole site as Assistant Superintendent in the absence of Superintendent.
• Specially authorized & Responsible for preparation of Mechanical, Electrical & Telecom rooms & coordinate with all departments for installation of system’s equipment and materials.
• Installation of Building Automation System (BAS) & Technical Security System (TSS)
• Prepare Documentation & report for QC (Quality Control Dept.) and OBO (Dept. of State for Overseas Building & Operations of USA) for inspection, after completion of any specific task or apartment according to the OBO standards.
• Lead architectural department during QC and OBO inspection of apartments or any specific entity/task and make rectification plan for comments by QC and OBO during inspection.
• Monitor day to day work progress and prepare the weekly and monthly program and report.
• Making sure the achieved progress on project fits the progress anticipated in the schedule.
• Report to the Project Manager about the current work progress and make comparison between plan and actual progress, Plan & Develop alternative approaches for work.
• Planning & Presenting the schedule to Mechanical, Electrical to carry out their work on site.
• Coordinate with various departments like Engineering (provides working drawings), Procurement, Contracts, Quality Control & Commissioning Departments.
• Coordinate with contractors and logistics dept. for smooth and on time supply of materials.
“Optimization of Drilling Parameters & Drill Bit Selection in Highly Interbedded Rocks in MOL Pak. Oil & Gas Co. B.V Fields”
North region of Pakistan has the most difficult drilling challenges in the world. This region has 250-300 days or more completions time due to highly interbedded formations & variation in drilling lithology. These formations are very abrasive and very hard, having UCS values more than 40 kpsi, which results frequent drill bit wear & failures, very low ROP, down hole vibrations, BHA failure, excessive trips & other drilling problems. To overcome these challenges I used Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Neural Network ANN) to perform offset well data analysis. Predict and optimize drilling parameters where there is great variations in drilling lithology.
• Developed a GUI (Mini Software) using MATLAB for drilling optimization
• Applied Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for Drilling Optimization in Makori field of MOL.
• Use a new system of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for the selection of drill bits and drilling parameters rather than conventional way of drill bit & parameters selection.
• Optimization of drilling parameters by using the results from offset well data analysis.
• Active Management of drilling parameters.
• Optimize the drilling & drill Bit selection for upcoming wells
• Increase ROP by selecting compatible drill bit w.r.t rocks.
