AASHTO for roads. My responsibility as a team member of international expert on roadway design was to prepare
geometric design standards for various road related infrastructure.
* As an international expert on geometric design, I reviewed various international design manuals from USA, UK,
Canada, Australia and New Zeeland to update current design manual.
* Coordinated with various international consultants to get feedback on use of various international manuals.
* Studied local conditions and materials availability to update new manual for economic conditions and local
construction practices.
* Coordinated with laboratory tests authority to adopt new technology and test procedures used in US and Australia.
* Modified existing design manual for to enhance road safety and improve access management.
Project: Development of Abu Dhabi Addressing System and Sign Manual
Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) of Abu Dhabi published two design standard manuals, namely ‘Addressing
System’ and ‘Abu Dhabi Street Name Sign Manual'. As a member of international experts in traffic engineering, I
developed various engineering standards for the new manuals.
* Conducted field survey and collected data for existing sign practices in Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
* Coordinated with various agencies and municipalities to comprehend their requirements and local conditions.
* Reviewed international practices for sign manuals from various developed countries and conducted gap analysis for
