Also to make sure steel load is secured and tied properly, load movement from the furnace area is cleared of people by activating siren to alert works of a heavy dangerous load is being moved.

• Supervise and training new staff on how to perform a charge makers duties safely e.g. operate a lifting crane, magnetic crane, preparing a charge, how to calculate, tie and secure the load, how to select kind of steel to be used and how to record data.
• Responsible for Money handling e.g. counting money at end of shift and recording it into the system, complete required administrative functions e.g. customer bills, reports, time sheets, dealt with lost property e.g. kept in lost and found or ask if any has lost such item etc.. & Performing bar duties
• General cleaning and arrangements duties during business and closing times e.g. check that sufficient table linen, food, drinks and other items requested for service periods and that buffer stocks are maintained. Also checking table layouts, sideboards, buffets, specials, display, insure food levels and quality are maintained during service, according to customer demand. Ensure all post-service tasks are completed e.g. unused foods/dishes/drinks are returned to kitchen, bar or cellar.
• Carry out good customer care and services e.g. seat allocation, take orders, assist guests with food and wine selection. Check customer satisfaction during service. Coordinate with the kitchen, for menu content, special customer requests, queries and complaints/compliments. Assist guests and promote the hotel's other facilities and services.
