2012-till now: Head of Electrical Section Head, Petro -Canada (SUNCOR) energy- EBLA Gas Plant project -Syria:
• Management of maintenance policies, strategies, plans and procedures in alignment with company policies and standards.
• Management of the development, modification and execution of maintenance planning and execution of planned and unplanned maintenance for all equipment’s.
• Conversant with national and international codes and standards applicable to the design .
• Continuous Development of the sectional employees and prepares training programs and monitors the implementation of development programs.
• Daily meeting to the electrical staff to deliver the daily tasks and guide them how to follow the electrical problems depends on the drawings and vendor recommendations, for example EX equipment in hazards area.
• Achieve and direct the day to day operation and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities ensure that maintenance is carried out in accordance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, engineering, technical standards and safety and environment requirements.
• Ensure availability of adequate manpower, materials, spare parts, tools and test equipment’s guided by standard procedures before any electrical job.

• Inspect materials received either as samples or purchased to ensure they conform to required specifications and arrange s testing/Operational use of spares, as necessary to verify compatibility with existing equipment.
• Review bids received for the materials, evaluates and recommends acceptable bidder.

Brief Description:
Executing the preventive and corrective maintenance activities related to electrical plant and equipment in assigned field, covering Gas Turbines, diesel generators, control units, LV/HV motors &control circuits, transformers, power cables, power distribution system associated with switchgear, UPS system, Battery charger, Cathodic protection, variable speed drive systems(VSDS) and Being responsible for planning, developing of maintenance of the electrical equipment’s.
Accountabilities:
• Achieve and direct the execution of planned and breakdown maintenance and repairs of all electrical plant and equipment in assigned field.
- Retrieve monthly maintenance plans from 3Ms; set weekly schedule and prepares daily activities.
- Set priorities and endorses Hot and/or Cold work permit in conjunction with operations.
- Ensure availability of adequate manpower, materials, spares, tools and equipment guided by standard procedures.
- Provide technical direction to subordinates on fault finding diagnoses and repairs.

•Achievements in Gas Turbines Power generation:
- Execute of preventive and corrective maintenance activities ensure that maintenance is carried out in accordance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, technical standards and Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and environment requirements.
-Develop the effective maintenance plans and schedules to maximize plant reliability. Maintain and ensure availability of spare part stock to enhance plant availability.
- Carry out HV Generator synchronizing and loading with guidance from Electrical procedures.
- Analyze electrical control problems, operating deficiencies or out of tolerance conditions and determine the solution.
•Investigate and troubleshoot maintenance problems. Implement fault-finding routines and procedures, diagnose problems and take appropriate action including devising and implementing solutions, referring to other disciplines, recommending external expert assistance, and preparing reports, as necessary.
•Achievement with the Power Management System(PMS), which is linked with the ICSS .
•Plan and supervise the provision of efficient and economical electrical services in support of maintenance and project activities in assigned field.
- Order spares and materials as necessary and controls the inventory of consumable, tools and lifting tackle.
-Ensure maintenance and testing of low and high voltage safety. Checks that overhaul work complies with electrical safety rules ESR’s.
- Review and plan future electrical activities with special reference to electrical equipment and material availability.
-Monitor all electrical activities to ensure that safety rules and regulations are being followed. Empowered to stop any operation not following laid down safety procedures.
•Responsible for all electrical Management Of Changes (MOC’s) and for Plan Improvement Requests (PIR’s).
•Solid experience with the company health, safety and environment policy, procedures.
•Senior Electrical Authorized Person (SEAP) to execute and supervise all electrical switching programs for high voltage and low voltage equipment and execute the required testing and issue PTW, SFT, LOA permits according to the ESR’s.
•Participate in Risk assessment and HAZOP reviews.
•Responsible for developing the electrical staff requirements safely and effectively maintain all electrical equipment’s to avoid any trip or at least minimize electrical equipment’s shutdown times .
