Line management of ICLA project field staff
Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
Contribute to ICLA strategy development, project proposals and provide input on needs and gaps
Manage and implement delegated portfolio of ICLA projects (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated from PM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirement, and ensure high technical quality
Provide regular progress reports to PM (AM and CCs if no PM)
Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and assess new ways to assist
Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
Promote the rights of refugees in line with the advocacy strategy.
Support the recruitment of NRC staff in ensuring compliance with NRC policies and procedures in Jordan
Coordinates the implementation of ICLA field actives, in cooperation with the ICLA Amman Project Manager
Engages CBOs, NGOs, legal aid partners and any other relevant stakeholders to build and maintain partnerships aimed at the provision of information and counselling
Ensures a high level of programmatic synergy of ICLA activities with other NRC core competencies in urban settings
Maintains a regular field activity monitoring system to ensure relevance and technical quality of information and counselling services
Overseas and ensures effectiveness of ICLA data management systems
Proactively provides the management with strategic suggestions on how to increase effectiveness, efficiency, quality and relevance of ICLA activities in an assigned geographical area of operation
Oversee day-to-day operations of the community outreach programme including direct supervision of community outreach assistants.
• Represent the community outreach team within the area of operation to local stakeholders, partners and communities.Ensure maintenance of good relations between NRC and project communities.
• Act as focal point to coordinatejoint activities with local partner organizations serving project communities, including liaison with relevant authorities and facilitators to arrange sessions, working with colleagues to develop session content and undertaking required logistical and administrative activities.
• Collation of information on government and civil society services, assistance and policies available pertaining to refugees. Plan and oversee provision of information and counseling to refugees and hosts on the same.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local service and assistance providers. Develop and maintain referral systems to facilitate refugee and host community access to such assistance.
• Monitor the general context through regular field access and coordination to identify issues affecting refugees, hosts and inter-community relations.
• Monitor and report progress and impact of activities according to the monitoring and evaluation schedule, including monthly report on activities to the Project Coordinator.
• Ensure that relevant monitoring tools for project activities are maintained and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
•Day-to-day outreach and follow-up to provide on-going social support to newly located households taking part in the NRC shelter programme.
•Provision of social counselling and support to shelter programme participants, with strong focus on facilitating and supporting positive relations between shelter programme landlords and tenants and local communities.
•Awareness raising, motivation and provision of programme information to beneficiaries and host communities.
•Maintenance of good working relationships with local service and assistance providers. Facilitate refugee and host community access to such assistance by making necessary referrals.
•Monitoring of the general context through regular field access and coordination to identify issues affecting refugees, hosts and inter-community relations.
•Monitoring and reporting progress and impact of activities according to the monitoring and evaluation schedule, including weekly/monthly reporting on progress of activities to the Community Outreach Team Leader.
•Ensuring that relevant monitoring tools for project activities are maintained and up to date.
•Performance of other related duties as identified by my supervisor
Typical duties included are but not limited to:
-Deal with incoming / outgoing emails, faxes & post and ensure the internal distribution of the incoming correspondences upon topics.
