Ensure adherence to the Company and Client HSEMS throughout the lifecycle of the Project.

Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.

To develop, implement and maintain the client Project HSE Plan as per the requirements an ensuring that the document adheres to the requirements of the COMPANY HSEMS.

Provide regular reports to the Human Resources Manager, Board of Directors/Senior Management Team on relevant health and safety activities.

To identify and highlight risks associated with the engineering design and assist with removing these during the initial stages of the project prior to the CONTRACTOR being appointed in the construction phase.

To input, comment and review on HSE items throughout the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities on the Site.

Carrying out formal HSE audits on the project as per the COMPANY procedure and approved audit schedule.

Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.

Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.

Providing impartial advice on all HSE matters to CONTRACTOR other concerned parties as necessary

Reporting HSE performance and KPIs as per the requirements of the client

Conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections at the project site, and reporting observations / non-conformances identified to the concerned party for rectification within the agreed timescale.

Monitoring, and reporting on, the conduct of the CONTRACTOR’s safety personnel.

Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.

Manage and devise the agenda for, chair and formulate & distribute minutes for the Health & Safety Committee meetings. Ensure that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines.

Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management and client from time to time.

Support the HSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.

Ensures that project design incorporates and implements current Corporate and Company Standards, HSE Guidelines & Safety Regulations and fully compliant with UAE Legislative requirements.

Provide support to the implementation of Company-wide HSE initiatives eg. ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, etc.

Ensure site Safety induction, in-house training, tool Campaigns, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s annual objectives & targets / KPIs, i.e. emergency response systems, Road safety, Waste Management, Heat stress, etc.

Monitors the projects Safety/HSE target schedules to ensure that they are being achieved effectively and efficiently in accordance with Corporate, Company & Project requirements.

Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the Regional HSE Manager for promulgation to the management.

Monitor and update the HSE risks register and ensure all mitigation plans are strictly adhere to throughout the project execution.

Recording and following up on any identified hazards and non-conformances to safety regulations, COMPANY HSEMS or Site requirements.

Conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections at the project site, and reporting observations / non-conformances identified to the concerned party for rectification within the agreed timescale.


Monitored strict compliance of “permit to work system” at work site.

Prepare and review Task Risk Assessment / HIRA / JSA

Prepare all HSE reports as per HSEMS

Attend pre-job, planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters.

Encourage employees to report accidents, near-misses, hazards and suggestion

Worked as Safety Officer in M/s GauthamJahnavi. Pvt.Ltd, Bangalore (Client: Akzo Nobel coil coating Ltd. (1500 mt) .) since October 2009 to Nov 2010.

Worked as Safety supervisor in M/s Thermopads Pvt. Ltd. (DVC 2*600 MW Power Plant, Reliance), Kolkata from January 2008 to September 2009
