Handling project logistics/transportation of Oil/gas, heavy lift and construction materials for EPC Duqm refinery and for other clients. The focal point of contact between stakeholders.
My role is primarily required for overseeing the entire transportation and logistics department including all heavy equipment, assets management, distribution of materials, warehousing, cost control, inventory control and manpower
Responsible for all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, planning, programming delivery management, site communication, record keeping, driver management, education and training, profit and loss, development and optimization of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the project.
Work directly with the construction and operations leadership team and each operating unit of Construction Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Distribution and Transportation to assist and support these groups to reach their business goals.
Oversee Logistics and transportation department, including its assets and employees.
Lead all distribution and transportation planning and strategic activities.
Managing field logistics operation, heavy transportation and equipment, distribution of materials/ precast elements, warehousing, procurement, manpower deployment, planning and scheduling, cost controlling, and all Lifting Loading/ Offloading activities with strict accordance to HSE rules and regulations.
Coordinate day to day operations in an extremely fast-paced & dynamic environment.
Coordinate and supervise all lifting activities, transportation, heavy equipment, logistics, manpower, procurement and maintenance activities as required on the project by taking into consideration the HSE objectives in order to ensure the smooth functioning and to meet the given deadlines.
Managing various type of transportation/ equipment upto 500 fleet i.e. cranes, flat bed/ low bed trailers, dump trucks, boom trucks, forklifts, boom loaders, compressors, light vehicle etc.
Controlling loose lifting gears certifications and reviewing all lifting plans, method of statements as per company procedure for safe operation.
Establish clear work methods and organize equipment movement, control and distribution for respective locations compatible with the established standard procedures to fall in line with the plant requirement.
Work in close coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, warehouse, production, field operations, and the contractors/ client to accomplish the required task in timely manner.
Organize repair and maintenance work of the company and contractor vehicles/ equipment as needed.
Manage and control the rented vehicle contract and the company owned vehicles. Ensure that the contractor is implementing its own HSE.
Follow-ups insurance, registration, permits formalities for all company owned and contracted vehicles in coordination with relevant departments. Investigates traffic accidents and follow-up insurance claims.
Ensure for periodical inspection and TPI of vehicles and heavy equipment loose lifting gears on time.
Arranging warehousing and transportation of products/ materials as required to the plant, investigate & respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping.
Ensure safe operations of heavy equipment performance as per Saipem HSE Policy and procedure.
Responsible to arrange transport for manpower of different designation (labor, technician and senior staff) from camp to site and site to camp.
Mobilization of portable cabin and office equipment/ material (table chair, air condition etc)to site office and field as required, responsible for water supply to different area of construction site.
Maintaining inventory and complete record with documented proof of each vehicle and equipment.
Independence of field logistics operations and decision-making authority.
Handling load of calls and responding with possible solution for complaints and inquires.
Ensures the safety of employees and inspect the proper safety practices are followed by them.
Appraising and certifying time sheets of rental equipment and for drivers and operators.
Coordinating for arranging of accommodation, food etc.
Introduced better methods for routing drivers and informing them on their assignment.
Follow up and coordinates with various project sites for work assurance and compliance.
Monitor daily fleet movement and reporting to CEO.
Coordinate with Technical/operations dept and manage fleet operation activities on daily basis.
Receives transportation requests from clients/in-house companies, subsequently planning and dispatching vehicles for work as per requirement.
Preparing contract documentation after mutual understanding with the clients.
Collaborate with other staff members in order to formulate/ implement policies & procedures.
Monitoring deadlines of projects submissions and ensure deadlines are met.
Monitor and manage operational work performance compliance with legislative requirements.
Schedule repair/ maintenance of vehicles & proposes solutions to the repetitive breakdowns.
Ensures proper repair and maintenance work carried out as per the requirements.
Introduced Work Order and Job Order system for recognizing the workflow.
Developed & maintained filing systems as per ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Maintaining official correspondence of the divisional manager.
Preparing weekly/ monthly statistical and narrative reports.
Providing Administrative & secretarial support for multiple official tasks.
Communicate verbally and in writing to answer inquiries and provide information. Coordinate the flow of information both internally and externally

Maintains records of daily work progress/parts, information into a computerized database using Oracle & Visual basic, performing for workshop system.
Managing inventory of the workshop to ascertain optimum number of spare parts are available in workshop at all times.
Contra checking data to ensure accuracy and completeness; in accordance with established guidelines to follow-up on missing or deficient information, recognizes problems in source documents and calls to the attention of supervisor or designated user liaison.
Answers account inquires & coordinating with them to proper follows up for report.
Maintaining policies & procedures pertaining to the releases of confidential information.
Provides complete updated records vehicles status by coordinating with In-Charges to the other section In-Charges/Foreman on their request.
Preparing/ maintaining log book and entering into the computer for accurate records of fuel.
