MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Treasury Accounting & Fund Management
* Deliver key information about funds and cash pooling for multi-currency accounts.
* Liaise with forensic authorities, banks and concern stakeholders for any discrepancy or feedback.
* Monitoring all transactions thru transaction processing system (TPS) and reconcile with books through SAP application.
* Prepare and run payment and receipt proposal using SAP application as per treasury accounting procedure.
- Evaluation of Fund Flow
* Evaluate all fund transfers for potential Unusual/Suspicious transactions.
* Screen all new vendors and customers as a part of identification process and in accordance with frame agreement and contracts.
* Verification of corporate and intercompany documents / statements as per policies and sanction guidelines.
- Tax Compliances & Implementation
* Developing Tax policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and improving processes by implementing best Tax practices.
* Delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with Federal Decree Law 2017 for VAT and Excise Tax.
* Keep abreast of any tax developments in GCC and counsel all staff accordingly.
* Advise management regarding VAT impact on corporate strategies and new laws on tax liabilities.
-Anti Money Laundering (AML) & Forensic Accounting
* Established appropriate AML/CTF and KYC policies and controls, ensuring compliance throughout business lines and functions.
* Monitoring corporate & individual's transactions to detect any unusual activity and reporting to the authorities.
* Assist in any investigations carried out in the departments including compliance reviews and enhanced due diligence.
* Verifying all cash disbursements, periodic accruals, tax exceptions, justifications of cash advances, custom duties and importation costs on regular basis.
* Prepare forensic master record to evaluate core compliance function accordingly.
- Strategic Reporting
* Preparation of suspicious activity report (SAR) for management review.
* Coordinate with accounting staff for monthly closing as well as perform month-end accrual review and prepare tax provision.
* Advise management regarding Tax impact (VAT & Excise Tax) on corporate strategies. Also assist in audit by tax authorities.
* Extract and compile Tax reports and timely tax returns filing.
* Identify high financial risk and money laundering matters and tax savings in prospective acquisition scenarios.

- Tax Accounting
* Provide an information source in the Tax area within the company.
* Liaison with Tax registered stakeholders for any feedback or discrepancy in Tax statement.
* Monitoring Tax invoice processing & booking using VMS standards & contracts through SAP application.
* Tax (VAT, Excise Tax, other Taxes) reconciliations with the accounts and general ledgers.
- VAT & Excise Tax Implementation
* Formulating and establishing SOPs for the company
* Developing Tax policies and procedures to ensure accuracy
* Improving processes by implementing best Tax practices
- Tax Compliance
* Delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with Federal Decree Law 2017 for VAT & Excise Tax.
* Also account for VAT reverse charge mechanism wherever applicable as per Federal Decree Law 2017.
* Keep abreast of any tax developments in GCC.
* Advise management regarding VAT impact on corporate strategies and new laws on tax liabilities.
- Tax Trainer
* Regular coordination with accounting staff and assess their performance.
* Counsel existing accounting staff for any tax developments in GCC.
* Conduct training and workshop for VAT & Excise Tax to the new accounting staff.
- Strategic Tax Reporting
* Coordinate with accounting staff for monthly closing as well as perform month-end accrual review and prepare tax provision.
* Advise management regarding Tax impact (VAT & Excise Tax) on corporate strategies
* Assist in audit by tax authorities.
* Extract and compile Tax reports and timely VAT returns filing
* Extract and examine project wise MIS report on monthly basis through SAP application to evaluate tax matters.
* Prepare monthly Analytical Review of all Taxes using the analytical techniques of Finance.
* Identify tax savings in prospective acquisition scenarios.

* Prepare Financial Budget for the Group and evaluate Budget with Actual performance.
* Monitoring all payments and receipts for the Group.
* Analyze reconciliation of Debtors and Creditors account as well as Bank accounts (including PDC Transfer).
