JOB FUNCTION
1. Part of the Management team for the Gurkha Guard Force.
2. Maintains discipline of the Guard Force.
3. Scheduling of duty rosters for the Guard Force.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Guard Force Commander Relief when necessary.
2. Supervises, deploys and briefs the guards before they go on post.
3. Ensures that the turnout and discipline of the Guard Force is maintained to the highest standards.
4. Maintains daily reports and returns efficiently and properly.
5. Implements Guard Force instructions, Directives and Regulations.
6. Checks and ensures all registers and instructions of the Guard Posts are properly maintained.
7. Responsible for all accounting, recording and maintenance of arms and ammunition.
8. Assists and supervises all types of Gurkha Guard Force refresher training and ensures his shift attends regular training.
9. Responsible for the security of weapons, ammunition and information.
10. Supervises loading, unloading of weapons in a designated unloading bay at shift change over on post.
11. Maintains shooting and training records in conjunction with the Gurkha Guard Force Training Wing. 1
12. Maintains and monitors sick parades in conjunction with the training wing. 17. Ensures cleanliness of guard posts and accommodation.
13. Performs his duties as directed by the Guard Force Commander.
14. Responds and reacts to any incident or emergency.
15. Supervises all local employees
