Main Scope of Duties and Responsibilities in GIB:
* Provide support to all users in GIB KSA and GIB BAH in relation to voice video sector i.e configuration of IP-Phones, video conference end points etc.
* Provide network support to all users in GIB KSA and GIB BAH escalate tasks to support providers that cannot be resolved.
* Assist the IT network team in resolving network infrastructure related problems and also assist in the installation and configuration of network & communication devices on the banks local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
* Review system logs on critical LAN/WAN systems regularly and address all system generated errors and warnings immediately to ensure minimum downtimes and disruption to users.
* Ensures that fault record systems are established and maintained to record all faults / malfunctions and their rectification
* Assist in updating documented guidelines for the Network Support department to ensure that the documentation reflects any/all procedural changes.
* Assist in addressing and resolving all LAN/WAN/ telephony audit comments and recommend improvised network strategies to alleviate future comments.
* Participate in planning, testing and implementation of disaster recovery plans for the banks network infrastructure and all networked applications at the Local Disaster Recovery site.
* Ensure that regular monitoring of the banks Network & communication set-up is performed and hardware & software upgrades of all components are carried out as required.
* Prepared to be called upon at out of office working hours to support GIB locations as dictated by circumstances.
* Pursue any other related activities as directed by superiors.
