I recently resigned from Western Cape Provincial Parliament (WCCP) as their IT Manager having worked there for just over 5 years. During this period, I was instrumental in resolving the burning issues when I joined. There were significant Auditor General findings which I addressed within the 1st 6 months of my employment at the institution. I setup a 5 year ICT Strategy which I set about achieving including, but not limited to:
- network (cabling and switches)refresh;
- sever refresh and upgrade;
- laptop/tablet/Desktop refresh;
- concluding a MS licensing agreement;
- Implementation of Content and Document Management System;
- service Desk and Service Catalogue including Service Support and Service Managenent as per ITIL;
- introduced the CObIT maturity model as a way to assess ICT maturity on a yearly basis;
- implantation of ICT governance policies and structures; and
- Significant among these was the successful implementation of a ERP system.

My key strengths are developing an ICT strategy, ensuring alignment to business strategy and then setting about implementing the strategy thru programs and projects.

I had resigned to take a year sabbatical to pursue travels.
