My Job Description as a Technical/Manufacturing Director Includes but not limited to:

- Looking after the entire workings of a manufacturing plant; planning, directing, and coordinating the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives.

-Responsible for ensuring that the product being manufactured meets the company’s standards,
policies and practices.

-Keeping the budget under control and making sure that it does not go against the company’s
standard practices.

-Direct involvement in the annual business planning and budgeting of the manufacturing plant.

-Conferring with senior management to ensure that the manufacturing objectives are being met.

-Making short and long term plans in a bid to increase the efficiency and profitability of the plant.

-Leading the technical aspects in margin improvements and cost reductions programs in:
formulations, manpower, machinery usage (including electricity and energy optimization), working capital and finance.

-Leading the technical aspects in the factory lay-outing and flow of materials, manpower, and finished goods.

-Oversee improvements to overall production processes including optimize mix of manpower,
machinery, finance and working capital.

-Direct factory resources and personnel and ensure that company complies good manufacturing
practices always.

-Direct involvement and advice in executing future development and future fixed asset investment
projects from the design stage, procurement and negotiation stage through to the commissioning
stage.

-Set up a R&D function in the company to guide driving future business growth and profitability.

-Remain current in pharmaceutical development and process technology, maintaining strong working knowledge, and identify the gaps and ensure effective transition from current practice to any new model.

Research and Development Manager, in addition to Head of Technical Support in pharmaceutical production process activities and equipment acquisition and testing.

Prototype development / validation.
Preparation and Finalization of Bill of Materials and Process Operating Instructions for
Production Drug Manufacturing.
Scaling-Up Production from Laboratory to Pilot to Production Levels.
Pack finalization.
Tooling details/ change parts finalization.
Stability batches preparation.
Bioequivalence batch preparation.
Review of stability samples and data.
Preparation of Product Optimization and Validation protocols.
Technology transfer to production and optimization.
Validation batches preparation (weather for Saudi Market or for Europe registration purposes)
Review of validation batches report.
Trouble shooting/yield improvement/cost reduction and other necessary improvements.
Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures.
Literature/Patent search.
Active raw material souring and indent.
Innovator product study.
Characterization of active raw material.
Active raw material specification preparation.
Compatibility studies of active and in-active ingredients.
Compatibility studies of product and packaging materials.

Managing and supervising various product development schemes carried out by formulation pharmacists in addition to production scale-up and troubleshooting.

Various pharmaceutical dosage forms formulator, including but not limited to:
-Solid dosage forms
-Liquid dosage forms
-Semi-solid dosage forms

Pharmaceutical products analyst, using advanced instruments such as HPLC and TLC.
