At Present working at stabling yard gold line (underground) .Three major buildings stabling yard east, light maintenance area & stabling yard west. Total of 340 tons of structural steel for platforms, stinger support & hoist support. In addition to this
Miscellaneous steel at train wash area & folding steps on light maintenance area.
Worked as Site engineer for steel structures for the Qatar rail depot Red line south in Wakra. Total of 7000 Tons of Primary & secondary steel. Total of 28 big & small buildings. In addition to that in charge of cladding works, roof panels, Glass Curtain, Installation of flashing, waterproofing membrane Louvers & providing facilities & temporary arrangements for Construction railway operations.
Preparing official letters for subcontractor & client side. Attending as person in charge of the buildings in daily plan of the day meeting with Qatar rail. Briefing the client about the daily progress & explaining then the week look ahead sequence of works. Heading the site based coordination with sub-contractors & joint venture companies & issuing site instruction to follow the proper works sequence on site.
-Checking the structural steel shop drawings with the latest set of IFC/RFI’s
-Scheduling the shop drawing submission for approval in coherence with the construction sequence
-Coordination of the structural 3D model with MEP/architectural. For any substantial clashes raise the query in form of RFI to solve the issue in design stage.
-Preparing structural RFI’s with adequate proposal to overcome the design deficiency without any change or least possible change on the Architectural concept of the building.
-Reviewing the calculations according to the codes & project specification
-Solving design site issues with the minimal effect on the construction sequence
-Analyzes and interprets design drawings for shop drawing preparation.
-Checks detailed drawings to ensure accuracy and meets client’s requirements in terms of presentation.
-Checks steel structures model in Tekla Structures and;
*Reports, bolt lists and ABM
*Project properties and RFI’s/ Queries
*Shop drawing generation ( Structural steel and Miscellaneous)
*Erection drawings (AB plan and framing plans)
*Checking of model and shop drawings
-Handle projects independently.
-Reports directly to the Technical Director regarding project issues.
- To make sure that all drawings are updated as per RFI responses before sending to clients.
- Troubleshoots the root cause of project errors and suggest practical ways of solving various detailing issues.
- Responds to client queries regarding standard issues.
- Coordinates through mail and phone conversation with US and Philippines office regarding project status.
- Budgets time and allocate proper man power to various projects, to meet client dead lines.
- Serves as Senior Consultant to Junior Checkers regarding detailing issues. Such as but not limited to:
(Perlins, Embeds, beams, columns, horizontal bracings, vertical bracings, girts, door frames, Anchor bolts, Anchor bolt details, embed Plans, embed sections, erection plans, elevations, erection sections, window frames, RTU frames and Trusses.)
Responsibilities:
-Detailing/Checking of detailed drawings for Anchor Bolt's Plan, Roof framing plan, Embed's Plan, RTU framing plan, Canopy Plan and Bracing elevation.
-Detailing and checking of columns, beams, braces and plate girders.
-Estimating the number of E-sheets and shop drawings for quotation of steel structure project.
-Making advance Bill of materials for project.
-detailing/checking of stair plan, shop of stairs, guardrails & handrails.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Responsible for preparing lay-outs and detailing drawings.
-Detailing Plans: Embed, RTU Framing, Anchor Bolt & Canopy
-Detailing Columns, Beams, Braces ad Plates.
ACCOMPLISHMENT:
I was later promoted as Senior Detailer and was sent to the new branch in Himachal Pradesh, to train newly hired fresh graduates on Basic and Advance used of AutoCad.
REASON FOR LEAVING:
My employer was not providing me the facilities and salary that he had promised to provide me, for relocating and hosting the training.
