• Conduct safety inspections on the work site to ensure that safety procedures are
implemented and observed to avoid an accident-prone working environment.
• Conduct safety trainings for employees according to their job activities to ensure that
safety practices and procedures are known to all so that they can exercise “Safety First”
rule.
• Carry out risk analysis task and review when required before starting new work, or after
changes in work environment as well as after reporting of an accident.
• Investigate all accidents and near misses, identify the direct and root causes and suggest

• Monitor and review the progress and effectiveness of training & development programs to
evaluate the end result of the design.
• Active member in the core team to inspect, study, tests and commission various fire
protection systems which include firefighting installation in all camps, fire water pumping
system and fire pumps, fire hydrants, fire hose reels, fire alarm and detection systems. Fire
system review is also done periodically.
• Overall in-charge of Fire and Safety Organization and system for all camps’
accommodations and facilities and making sure that action plan has been completed.
Conducts periodic checking of daily room safety inspection by respective camp’s Fire and
Safety Marshals as well as the preventive maintenance of each equipment, appliance and
all electrical contrivances.
• Conducting Emergency Drills. The scenarios and responses are jointly reviewed and drills are
conducted. I served as ‘observer’ during such drills and contributed ways on how it can be
effectively executed in the event of actual emergencies.
• Upon passing the NEBOSH IGC Examination, additional duties and responsibilities were
delegated such as incident/accident investigation, conducting defensive driving training,
monitoring of all incidents/accidents (injuries, medical treatment cases, first-aid cases,
motor vehicle accidents, etc.) were being recorded weekly for the Health and Safety
Report which were consolidated every month and presented to Top Management.
• Assists in all external inspections by SGS and other external clients for ISO 14001, OHSAS
18001:2007, 9001 and ISO 22000:2009 inspections.
• Assists in all ARAMCO Camp Inspections for Fire and General Safety, Electrical Safety, LPG
Safety and Environmental Safety.
• Conducting interviews and examination for aspiring Food and Fire Safety Marshals.

• Attending emergency incidents: fires, road accidents, floods, bomb incidents, spillages of
dangerous substance, rail and air crashes, if needed.
• Inspecting and maintaining the fire engine and its equipment, assisting in the testing of fire
hydrants and checking emergency water supplies.
• Conducting drills, physical training and taking part in training sessions on techniques, use of
equipment and related matters.

• Inspects all buildings, structures or facilities.
• Determines the presence of any fire hazard, types of occupancy, prohibited acts being
committed or tolerated as provided in Section 9, PD 1185 (Fire Code of the Philippines).
• Checks/Tests the required fire protective and/or warning system.
• Coordinates with the local government or other agencies and inspects premises of any
industrial, commercial or business operations.
• Determines that fire safety measures for hazardous processes or operations and for
handling, storage or use of hazardous materials have been complied.
• Conducts periodic inspection of buildings, structures, facilities or premises.
