Manage the external audit exercise for MAF Ventures and coordinate with business unit Finance Managers and external auditors.
Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated MAF Ventures Financial Statements and get audit clearance
Negotiate statutory audit fees for all MAF Venture entities.
Coordinate with various functions of MAF Group Entities e.g. Treasury, Legal, HR, Finance etc.
Provide training to finance staff of the business units to strengthen their skills and to update them with the latest changes in IAS/ IFRS.
Manage the Internal Audit follow-up process. Implement a follow-up process of all MAF Ventures entities and assist entities in resolution of outstanding issues.
Board meeting preparation - Agenda, coordination for the preparation of board documents,
Review and periodically update Delegation of Authority Manuals for all MAF Ventures entities.
Harmonize Policies and Procedures within the set of MAF Ventures legal entities.
Assist in the set-up of newly formed companies (compliance requirements, systems implementations, reporting requirements, etc…).Participate in developing and refining the Company’s strategies and business plans in coordination with the Company’s upper management.
Ensure the company’s compliance to regulations, contractual agreements and local tax requirements for all the offices
Participate in the preparation, coordination, analysis and consolidation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts plus assist in preparing respective reports for board approval.
Serve as point of contact for all Treasury related processes for MAF Ventures LLC
Responsible for cash flow management across all Venture business units and coordinate the funding of investments, CAPEX, restructuring projects via the Group Treasury function.
Manage legal requirements with respect to ownership and act as primary contact for taxation requirements across various countries for different business units.
Participate in developing and refining the Company’s strategies and business plans in coordination with the Company’s upper management.
Ensure the company’s compliance to regulations, contractual agreements and local tax requirements for all the offices
Set in coordination with the Company’s upper management key performance indicators to measure financial and operational targets against actual results.
Develop financial and management reporting packages that are sound and conform to local, international and industry best practices.
Provide the outline of the Finance Department’s overall objectives and develop the general guidelines for controlling these objectives.
Set adequate systems of internal control to ensure proper stewardship of assets and to assure accuracy, and adequacy of accounting records and documentation, including appropriate procedure manuals, forms based on standard and industry practices.
Keep abreast of current developments in the areas of accounting and financial reporting, and actively participates as appropriate in implementing accepted accounting and reporting principles and standards.
Evaluate the possibilities of further expansion in operations through diversification or internal business development by conducting feasibility studies, and financial analysis.
Serve as the principal contact with the audit firm, and ensures that they are provided close cooperation and assistance in the discharge of their responsibilities, including primarily the timely issuance of the Company’s audited financial statements.
Periodically attend, presents and secures the approval on the Company’s annual budgets, management reporting packages and year-end financial statements from the shareholders’
Initiate and approve recruitment and termination of all Finance Department employees. Reviews and approves regular vacation scheduling, business leaves and emergency leaves for all Finance Department employees.
Direct the financial affairs of the Company and prepare financial analysis of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management
Responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports
Supervision over general accounting, property accounting, cost accounting, and budgetary controls.
Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system), and analyze and report variances.

Provide consistent compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as Company policies and procedures
Create systems and reporting structure to support the Company’s strategic and financial models and processes
Manage and foster the Company’s relationship with its outside accounting firm, including coordination of the annual audit
Compare performance with operating plans and standards, and report and interpret results of operations to all levels of management and to the Board of Directors
Managing the overall financial and operational audits of the company to strengthen the internal control and to ensure the correctness and accuracy of the financial reports presented to the Board of Directors.
Reviewing the company’s contracts and agreements before signing and liaising the review of the major contracts with the company’s lawyers
Issuing company’s audited interim financial statements.
Preparing and submitting operational and financial reports to the Board of Directors either regular or special reports.
Liaising with company’s External Auditors the interim and final audits up to the issuance of annual audited financial statements.
Working as consultant and advisor to the Managing Director.
Carrying out the responsibilities of auditing the accounts of over than 50 firms in several fields of business (Trading, IT, FMCGs, Manufacturing, Exchange, Services, Contracting …) individually or within a team together with preparing their Financial Statements.
Performing Audit special assignments in both the private as well as the public sectors.
Supervise Audit team in the field and report performance and results to the Audit Manager.
Work as financial advisor and implementation consultant for financial and internal control systems
