➢ Surveillance of day to day Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical, Commissioning and Erection
Activities.
➢ Conducting Internal Audits and Preparing for the External ISO Audits.
➢ Review of WPS, PQR and WQT
➢ Inspection and Test plan as required by the contract or specification
➢ Surveillance of day to day erection activities including material check and visual inspection for
pipes, elbows, bends, valves and supports, check on consumables, pipe and tube fit up and
alignment inspection, welding, preheating and post heating, visual inspection after welding
and repairs.
➢ Witnessing of receipt inspection of pipes, bending of pipes, fit-up inspection, Weld visual
inspection, hydro and pneumatic testing
➢ Studying and Interpretation of isometric and P&ID drawings.
➢ Review of test packs-pre inspection prior to hydro testing and pneumatic testing
➢ Associated with QA/QC Documentation work with client
➢ Preparing work schedule and also coordinating the job.
➢ Coordinating with Clients & TPI & Work and man power planning.
➢ Inspection of rotary and static equipments.
➢ Monitoring work progress - Planed vs. Achieved.
➢ Well aware of all Quality related Documentation & review of calibration certificates & batch
test certificates.
➢ Assessing the joint strength using Hardness and PMI.
➢ Consumable Management & Bill checking of contractors as per work done.
➢ Inspection of materials and welding consumables as per specification.
➢ Fit-up inspection, Material and Dimensional check as per drawing
➢ Weld visual inspection.
➢ Alignment & level checking (using Theodolite).
➢ Grouting inspection & cube testing.
➢ Bolt tightening inspection.
➢ Checking of preheat, post heat and PWHT, awareness of heating jobs
➢ Interpretation of preheat and post weld heat treatment charts
➢ Surveillance of Critical piping, Power cycle piping, Integral piping, low pressure piping
➢ Handling of IBR Documentation.
➢ Maintaining of latest projects specification, BHEL’s, procedures, FQP, WPS, manuals and
drawings.
➢ Completing all document for the internal audit and external audit.
➢ Solving the NCR’s (Non Confirmation Reports) and QOR (Quality Observation report) for
violation found during inspection.
➢ Proper documentation and data control.
➢ Inter department weekly and monthly quality meeting and prepare meeting Agenda.
➢ Inter department co-ordination
➢ Painting inspection using elcometer
➢ Alignment of structural members, safety valves, headers, columns and panels using
theodolite, piano wire, plumb bob, spirit level, bevel protractor
➢ Interpretation of Radiographic films, Liquid particle testing, Magnetic particle testing
➢ Pre-Assembly Diagonal and dimensional measurement and KLT of ducts
➢ Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, method statements and ensure all tests are
carried out as per contract requirements
➢ Liaison and coordinate with clients, consultants and third party inspectors
➢ Project evaluation, Submission of work report, submission of inspection request to the
Client after the completion.
➢ Completion of project installation works as per project specification.
➢ Attending regular meeting with clients and consultants and keeping them informed of site
progress.
➢ To supervise and monitor the site labour force through General Foreman and/or Supervisors,
monitoring the work of any subcontractors to complete the work as per customer's
satisfaction.
➢ Ensuring timely availability of materials in accordance with the project schedule and quantity
& quality of contract requirement.
➢ Carryout inspection of the material when it arrives in the warehouse to ensure its conformity
to the project specifications and Purchase Order.
➢ Preparation of documents needed for project acceptance and turn-over.
➢ Test packs & Quality verifying Documents Completion for construction.
➢ Ensuring all site process focused on defect prevention and meet customer expectations and
focusing
