Harmonic Fund Services are an international fund administrator, within the asset management industry in the Cayman Islands. I am primarily responsible for the back-office operations and management reporting for a portfolio of private equity clients. Harmonic use a proprietary in-house ERP system, role entailed hands on approach with system from both inputting and review of information.

Skills developed and achievements
• Completion of quarter end reporting process. Preparation of quarterly US GAAP financial statements to be distributed to investors
• Calculation of quarterly NAVs, including consolidation, and preparation of partner capital statements to be distributed to investors
• Dealing with requests of stakeholders (investors/IMs, and more), and ensuring client relationships are managed and built upon
• Liaising with internal and external auditors, and assisting with the audit process, to ensure a satisfactory audit is performed
• Ensuring all relevant controls were adhered to, as environment was process driven. Investigating and correcting any exceptions.
• Maintenance of day to day accounting and client needs, including; reconciliations, complex fee calculations, review of journals, budgeting, AML, KYC and onboarding of clients, also prepared the standard operating procedure manual for team processes

Gained experience in the captive insurance sector. Managed a portfolio of captive insurance clients, ensuring high quality audits were performed and all financial statement reporting deadlines were met.

• Managing audit teams both in Cayman and abroad. Audit planning/budgeting, through to completion stage
• Prepared and reviewed IFRS/US GAAP financial statements for filing with Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA)
• Ensured client operations were in line with CIMA requirements, and reporting deadlines were met. Monitored controls
• Tested investments for appropriate valuation and reserves to ensure they were adequate to cover potential liabilities
• Completion of audit using KPMG IT audit software. Awarded strong performance ratings

Gained valuable audit and advisory experience in a number of industries including manufacturing, retail, real estate, pharmaceutical and financial services. Appointed audit senior on a number of large engagements, managing teams of up to 5 people.

• Obtained an in depth knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP, through studies and on the job experience
• Evaluated and tested the design and operation of accounting and internal control systems
• When necessary, offered recommendations for improvement of internal controls systems

• Extensive experience auditing P&L and Balance Sheet items, such as; revenue, expenses, fixed assets, receivables, payables, cash, inventory, payroll etc. Performed and coordinated stock counts. Strong performance ratings

under US GAAP
• Statutory financial statements under Irish GAAP), also preparation of
deconsolidation of accounts.
