Was responsible to the Operations manager for the support of various training and technical solutions into the Metropolitan Police Special Operations Centre at Lambeth. Led the successful introduction and implementation of On-Schedule pilots at School of Electrical Engineering through development/implementation of project plan, marketing strategy/implementation, success criteria and resource/budget/financial management for whole project. Involved in the implementation and commissioning Education Training Management System (ETMS) on major PFI and other Training Management Information Systems (TMIS).
Over 23 years’ service with extensive experience in both operational and training environments. Core function was Commander of Challenger 2 main battle tank troop at Squadron level. Was responsible to the Commanding Officer for the efficient running of a mixed civilian/military organization of over 400 personnel. Managed and administered a wide range of training courses at the UK AFV School at Lulworth, including the allocation of resources, student/instructor welfare and programming. Spent much of his career involved in various operations in the Gulf, Balkans and Northern Ireland with focus toward counter terrorism and intelligence gathering and gained much experience working within a multi-agency emergency planning and crisis management team.
