Accomplishments revolve around dedicated input provided towards the award and profitable completion of numerous international projects with regards to challenging technical support provided during the formulation and pricing of tenders, throughout the execution and completion of the works.
Senior Materials Engineer / Laboratory Manager: Somanga - Ndundu Road Upgrading Project for Tanzania Roads Authority, 56km. Project value 58 million dollar US :
- Manage on site analytical laboratory responsible for daily quality control of all related construction activities, including:
- bulk earth works
- stabilization
- road base
- surfacing
- pre-cast concrete works
- bulk bridge concrete works
- pre-stressed beams
- cast insitu bridge piles
- crusher operations at quarry locations including production of concrete, drainage, surfacing aggregates as well as crushed road base materials.
- Formulation of material designs for stabilized layers, concrete and bitumen applications.
- Quarry qualification and process control on all crushed aggregate products
- Qualification and value engineering of site won materials in optimization of the Project Cost & Design.

Senior Materials Engineer / Laboratory Manager: Mbwemkuru - Mingoyo Design and Build Road Project for the Tanzanian Ministry of Works 95km. Project value 55 million dollar US :
- Manage on site analytical laboratory responsible for daily quality control of all related construction activities, including:
- bulk earth works
- stabilization
- road base
- surfacing
- pre-cast concrete works
- bulk bridge concrete works
- pre-stressed beams
- cast insitu bridge piles
- quarry source qualification and quality assurance on all crushed aggregate products for concrete, drainage, surfacing aggregates as well as crushed road base materials.
- Formulation of material designs for stabilized layers, concrete and bitumen applications.
- Qualification and optimised value engineering of all site won materials in optimization of the Project Design and Cost.
- Liaison between Resident Engineer, Design Engineer, Employer and Contractor Management.
- Site Agent managing an innovative and dynamic construction team in the insitu reclamation and rehabilitation of deteriorated pavements in South Africa utilizing Rotovatory Reclaimer Technology applied in the insitu mechanical rehabilitation and chemical stabilization with the addition of either lime or cement in conjunction with either emulsion or foamed bitumen.
- Responsible for site establishment, material and equipment procurement, daily costing, contract liaison including, client, engineer, sub-contractors and suppliers, daily work scheduling and supervision with monthly formulation of payment certificates.
- Materials Engineer Technician applied in a commercial civils laboratory serving a host of Contractors and Consultants in numerous mid and high level projects accross the Lowveld and PWV area.
