Managing finance department of real estate division including leased real estate

Managing entire finance department including with team of two personnel who directly reporting to me. Responsible for determining overall financial strategy and ensure execution through implementation of appropriate financial policies, processes, plans and procedures. Managing company’s financial and reporting system. Developing and monitoring budget. Liaising with external and internal auditing agencies, legal bodies and statutory organizations to ensure financial and regulatory compliance. Reporting to CEO.
I worked as Senior Accountant then promoted to the rank of Chief Accountant for “Ark Angel Investments LLC”, “HS Corporate Management LLC”. handling all financial and accounting aspects including day to day transactions, payroll, cash flow, budget and investment activities which include a share portfolio over AED 3 billion, real estate investments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, investments in private joint stock companies, subsidiaries and associates accounts. Manage all bank facilities, overdrafts, Islamic Murabahas, and Term Loans. Monthly and year end closing including issuance of financial statement and consolidated financial statements. Risk Management. Daily monitoring of trade market and economy news. Submitting all reports to Chairman and Group CFO.
-Receiving projects payment applications and subcontractors payment certificates from projects department Handling the accounts of asphalt plant and concrete plant.
-Handling the accounts of letters of credit L/C, and letter of guarantee L/G.
-Inventory control.
-Bank reconciliation and review any charges and interest with the bank
-Aging the debts both receivable and payable.
-Preparing payments for suppliers and following the payments from customers.
-Depreciation of fixed asset (machinery and tools).
-Checking the trial balance.
-Preparing all monthly financial reports to finance manager.
-Close the month.
-Dealing with the internal and external auditor
I am Certified Management Accountant CMA from USA and holder of Bachelor's degree in Economics major accountancy from Damascus University. Currently I am pursuing to get my ACCA designation.
