Manage The Shards sustainability objectives at a strategic level. Through successfully achieving 84% recycling rate for 20 Fenchurch street I was given the opportunity to work with The Shard, Europe's tallest multi tenanted building to deliver a recycling behavioural change programme and improve the buildings environmental performance. Key objectives/ responsibilities:
•Ensure key clients including The Shard, Derwent and News UK achieve recycling and sustainability targets
•Increase sales throughout account portfolios through delivering successful initiatives
•Engage with key stake holders from Board room through to cleaning operatives level
•Ensure KPI's are set and ensure contract delivery
•Produce accurate, timely and concise monthly reports for key stakeholders
•Liaise with stakeholders at various levels
•Helping clients manage budget spending for sustainability innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of projects
•Provide on the job training to staff and ensure their continuous development
•Deliver audits and other compliance checks, maintain records of these and meet all necessary statutory requirements
•Produce accurate, timely and concise monthly reports for key stakeholders
The role involves the management of 20 Fenchurch streets waste disposals at a strategic level while based at the site. As ‘green growth' becomes embedded in the strategy and vision of a growing number of companies across both PLCs and SMEs, my role provided Land Securities with innovative and cutting edge environmental management strategies to support truly sustainable growth. Key objectives/ responsibilities:
•Achieve New Business sales targets of £10, 000 per month
•Increased recycling performance from 39% - 83% within a 3 month period
•Line manager for 1 employee, Sustainability Operative
•Maximise on cost saving and demonstrate the efficacy of these initiatives
•Administer and manage a wide variety of projects emphasising compliance, sustainability and risk mitigation
Bywaters are the largest privately owned waste disposal business within the South East of England. My responsibilities included the account management of Bywaters 1st national waste contract. During my time with the company we successfully expanded to over 160 new sites. Achievements gained through work:
•Responsible for the account management of Nando's National portfolio worth £1.2M with annual growth target of £120K
•Responsibilities include developing and managing new and existing relationships for Bywaters National 3rd party partners in the UK and Ireland. This role has been crucial in establishing Bywaters as a national player by working with businesses that have similar ethics and ethos within the waste industry.
•Managed and grew existing P&L for existing suppliers and secured “like for like” partnerships nationally
•Dealt with relevant government legislation and local councils
I was required to take credit card applications of customers over the phone and sell balance and money transfers to existing and new customers. Key objectives/ responsibilities:
•Received training and improved telephone sales technique
•Achieved over target for balance and money transfers
•meet or exceed the quality scores for customer service during assessed calls
•Trained new starters
CCA international is an international telesales company. I worked on a BT outbound calling campaign called carrier pre select which persuades customers to come back to BT for their telephone calls. Key objectives/ responsibilities:
•Achieved over sales target consistently and meet all KPI's required
•Captured date accurately and correctly
•Trained new starters
Second class with honours degree International Business Studies Management with Industrial Placement Year and one semester in Istanbul, Turkey.
