Fabrication of steam condenser (up to 120 MW).
Fabrication of pre designed compressor fans.
Fabrication of gas compressor base frame and process piping.
Quality check for the fabricated machineries and reporting of non conformities.
Shop floor supervision.
Responsible for daily job planning, co-ordination of work and shop floor feeding.
Preparing of reports/ QA documents for end customer.
Lead the mechanical activities during on-site inspection of OEM Gas Turbo generator (ALSTOM make GT13E2- 160 MW & GT13D- 100 MW), for major & minor outages.
Responsible for daily job planning and to execution.
Disassembly and Re-assembly of entire gas turbine, i.e. outer and inner casings, rotor, stator parts, combustion chamber, burners, bearings, blow out valves etc…
Assist the assessment engineer for carrying out life time assessment of various components in GT.
Testing and refurbishing activities for all auxiliary components of the gas turbine.
Technical liaison between the client and technical department, as a single point contact in the site, during the inspections.
Communications with client/ technical department regarding progress of inspections, day to day activities, Permit to Work, tools and tackles etc.
Write Technical Reports regarding the inspection and overhauling activities to client and OEM.
Provide on field technical support (mechanical) for the OEM gas turbines and the auxiliary systems like gas valves, oil pumps, extractors, blow off valves etc. I was able to provide technical support (GT mechanical & auxiliaries) to various clients across Middle East such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Iraq, Qatar etc.
Reverse engineering of third party components.
Scanning of samples using FARO ARM, the 6 degree freedom CMM and 3D modeling of the data collected using Solid Works 2006.
Preparing 2D manufacturing drawings from the solid model & arrange for manufacturing of the component.
Co-ordinate with foundry and machine shop for getting the component manufactured according to the drawing. Components mainly reverse engineered: pump volutes, impellers, turbine casings, buckets, vanes, heat resistant tiles etc…
Manufacturing and assembly of industrial steam turbines up to 140 MW.
Quality check for the fabricated and assembled machineries and reporting of NCR
Shop floor supervision.
Responsible for daily job planning, co-ordination of work and shop floor feeding.
Preparing of reports/ QA documents for end customer.
Support the production lane by designing new tools & tackles.
Develop new procedures/ jigs and fixtures for new products.
Design & manufacture jigs & fixtures.
