Monitor and record vital signs as ordered or at the nurse’s own discretion.
• Assumes drug administration including drug effect and reactions.
• Identifies and assess problems through patient assessment and interactions and evaluates actual or potential patient health problems.
• Operate electronic mechanical equipment such as: Nebulizer, Defibrillator, and Pulse Oximeter & ECG Machine.
• Perform venipuncture as directed by physician.
• Collecting blood and proper labeling of the blood samples.
• Assisting doctors in suturing and performing minor dressings.
• With knowledge and experience in insurance E-claim Submissions/Resubmission and obtaining approvals.
• Evaluates patient response to interventions and modifies plan of care as needed to achieve health care goals.
• Educating the patient and family based on learning needs.
• Develops and updates professional knowledge and competency to provide evidence based of nursing care.
• Act as a liaison between patient and hospital personnel.
Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
• Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access;
suctioning; passing instruments.
• Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Establish infection control protocols to prevent the transfer of infections from patient- to- staff or patient- to- patient.
• Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions;
troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Act as a back-up in assisting Dentists in patient consultation, treatment and evaluation.
• Handles Patient scheduling, appointment confirmation and follow-up reminders.
• Check material and instruments inventory, stocks and expiration.
• Coordinates with Dental/Medical suppliers for purchase orders.
• Maintain everyday checklist for facility maintenance.
