• Responsible for the evaluation, development and administration leading to the establishment of a business recovery plan for the bank.
• Provide direction to internal staff and project team members. Develops and implements, directly and through subordinates, a detailed plan to centralize the effort in assisting in the recovery effort of units in the event of a disaster.
• Responsible for the creation of a detailed business recovery project plan, including studies and statistical data to assess need for backup system and develops action plans to meet needs
• Responsible for developing and implementing detailed operational plans for branch hub-sites, emergency operations center and backup recovery sites, and implementing appropriate measures to identify risks associated with applications/business functions in the event of a contingency; responsible for the coordination of the testing process for all affected applications for the bank
• Responsible for analyzing requirements for business recoverability, including systems, telecommunications, facilities, and other business requirements
• Consult with business units for technical support in developing and maintaining recovery strategies
• Responsible for performing BIA (Business impact analysis) and risk assessment with business units.
• Act as a liaison to external units and responsible for developing periodic simulations and walkthroughs of disaster situations to assist in the validation of plans.
