Performs several duties related to import/export cargo handling on shift. Includes preparing cargo manifests, cargo weight estimated and final load statement. Prepares AWB’s and distributes documents according to established procedures.
Responsible for Safety & Quality of the function/ Task performed.
Receives standard form transfer manifest and Air Way Bill from Import Cargo for cargo in transit, checks Air Way Bills against manifest to ensure the cargo received is correct, contacts Import Cargo to query discrepancies in deliveries (shortage, damage) or incomplete documentation, and places document for collection in trays in accordance with destination.
Enter all import / export airway bill data in the system, according to NAS procedure.
Responsible for exercising due diligence towards Health & Safety of self & others in the organization and also environmental protection.
Responsible for reporting to his superiors' occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect safety, security and company reputation
