I am currently associated with Lloyd's Register & posted in pune as a inspection engineer for inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping, pumps, compressors & calibration of equipments like UTM/ITM etc.
1) Preparation of WPS with relevant (ASME/IS/BS) qualified PQR for the projects
2) QC documentation, Method Statement, and QC plans.
3) Inspection of Tankage Fabrication, Erection and testing as per standards.
4) Witness / review of WPS / PQR / WQT/Lab Testing.
5) Ensuring the implementation of all activities is controlled within the requirements of relevant WPS, WI, QCPs & ITPs.
6) Verifying & complying with all QC codes/standards.
7) Co-ordination with NDT agencies.
8) Preparation of offer for Radiography, UT and other NDT.
9) Preparation for Hydro testing for tanks/Piping.
10) Implement the QA/QC management system at site
11) Coordinate with the LRA/EIL representative on all quality matters
12) Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards/EIL Specifications/IHI Specification.
13) Conduct internal audits for checking the quality system.
14) Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action.
15) Ensures that workers involved in the hydro testing works are properly guided, is completed in accordance with prescribed information prior to pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests being carried out for all test packages.
16) Prepare technical report, lists of outstanding items on a punch list submits it for construction to carry out the required test.
17) Monitors the hydro testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic) and handle reports on the completion of tests and to supervise line cleaning after hydro test.
18) Interacting with the Client Inspector for daily inspection activities
19) Qualification of welders (WPQ) for different types of welding process, positions and materials as per BS EN & ASME codes and maintaining their records.
20) Co-ordination of QA/QC activities with client and project management consultant.
21) Inspection of Stage wise fabrication, erection & Inspection of Tanks, Pipes & Steel Structural items i.e. material verification, surface preparation & painting, fit up, welding, PWHT, DPT/RT/MPT/UT, Hardness Test, Pneumatic test, Vacuum Box test, PMI, Hydro Test, Holiday test, alignment, Lab test etc.
22) Commissioning of the Piping & LNG Tank system with Final Documentation of the project.
1) Preparation & Review of WPS, PQR as per ASME Sec IX & IS-7307.
2) Qualification of welders (WPQ) for different types of welding process, positions and materials as per ASME Sec IX & IS-7310 and maintaining their records.
3) Reviewing of test certificates of raw materials as per codes & standards.
4) Field inspection (Visual Welding & Material Identification)
5) Monitoring and controlling the concerned project QA/QC activities.
6) Co-ordination of QA/QC activities with client and project management consultant.
7) Inspection of Stage wise fabrication, erection & Inspection of Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Spheres, Pipes & Structural items i.e. material verification, surface preparation & painting, fit up, welding, PWHT, DPT/RT/MPT/UT, Hardness Test, PMI, Hydro Test, alignment, etc.
8) Worked in waste water treatment plant (DM Plant) for the inspection of piping installation / line walk through & releasing for hydro test with compliance of all quality related activities.
9) Worked in the laying of pipeline works along with fittings and other accessories and also electro-mechanical execution works in offsite of plant projects in the field of Water treatment plant, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Sewage Treatment Plant etc.
1) Read the Tender documents thoroughly for the assigned projects.
2) Clearing IMIR (Incoming Material Inspection Report) of Raw materials like Structural Steel plates, Flanges & Fittings, angles, beams, channels, pipes and Welding & other consumables as per approved specifications/standards.
3) Reviewing of test certificates of raw materials as per codes & standards.
4) Field inspection (Visual Welding & Material Identification)
5) Co-ordinate with Project Manager for preparing project schedule/catch up plan as required.
6) Maintain Documentation.
7) Prepare progress calculation plan for the project as required for the project in consultation with project manager.
8) Update the project schedules & progress.
9) Interact with Project team/Project manager, discuss the progress, slippage of target dates, over runs etc. and report to the seniors/management.
10) Monitor Day to Day Progress activities for the Project.
11) Monitor the requirements of Drawings and materials/equipments as per the project schedule planned. Inform the requirement to Project Manager.
12) Attend internal meetings with Project team/Project manager & Senior Management
