I am currently working as the ‘Contracts & Commercial Manager’ and report to the ‘General Manager - Technical Affairs’. I head the Contracts and Quantity Surveying activities of all the projects currently under execution.
I provide advice to the project managers on contractual issues, draft and approve all contractual correspondence. I manage all the quantity surveyors working in the projects and supervise the preparation and management of claims / variations, EOT entitlements and commercial closeout of the projects.
Sub-contractor management including drafting agreements, ensuring compliance to the conditions of the contract and approving their payment certificates form an integral part of my job profile.
I am also responsible for preparation of MIS reports, CVR, CPI, SPI to identify cost and time variances and recommend corrective action.
I was responsible for leading the Contracts and Quantity Surveying activities of the project which involved the construction of a multipurpose sports complex for Dubai Municipality.
Leading a team of Quantity Surveyors & Planners, I was responsible for all the contractual correspondence, variations, payment applications; final statement and commercial close out. Preparation of baseline program, cash flow, monitoring and reporting progress, recovery program, schedule delay analysis and EOT claims was undertaken.
