Responsible for Development of applications as per requirements of the clients.Involved in the maintenance of a project in share point with C#.net as the back-end and SQL as database. This project is related to separation and validation of insurance claims submitted to the CMS (USA). Involved in the development of web-based application where US citizens will be able to check out their insurance claims under CMS on basis of their previous claims and current insurance status.Provided an easy medium for checking claims and applying for the claims. Incorporated an updation system which enables the users to know and understand the changes in insurance policy changes and applying for the right claims in proper and easier way.

Admin site for iPhone application through which the admin can store, edit and delete various products(wines), stores and restaurants, news or events related to winery, add or delete images to be displayed in the iPhone application. The application involves all the wineries, outlets and production outlets through out the North America and user will be able to select and contact the required. With the help of Admin site, the admins can provide addition of newer installations and updations on the existing installations. Also incorporated the various visibility features based on the membership subscribed and added privileges to each type of customers.

Research work performed: 1) Design and study of performance of solar air heater with phase change material energy storage. In this study, solar air heater with phase change material energy storage has been designed and its thermal performance has been studied. It is then compared with solar air heater without storage. Experiments were conducted at different mass flow rates of 1 m/s, 1.5 m/s, 2 m/s. 2.5 m/s and 3 m/s for both solar air heaters and corresponding performances were recorded. The research was conducted to find out the effect of phase change material in supplying a constant heat for the drying purposes irrespective of the availability of solar radiation. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the charging and discharging characteristics of the storage unit. From the study, it is evident that the both solar air heaters had a better efficiency at higher flow rates of 3 m/s due to increase in value of heat transfer co-efficient. The supply of lower mass flow rate of air (1 m/s and 1.5 m/s) was able to utilise the maximum capacity of storage system and to achieve uniform supply of heat for duration of 2-3 hours after sunshine hours. Similarly the study also revealed that the solar air heaters with storage maintain a constant temperature heating for a 30% more time when compared to solar air heater without storage. 2) Production of Diesel-like fluid from waste engine oil using distillation In this study, an attempt has been made to re-refine the waste engine oil by distillation process. The waste engine oil used for the study was the waste lubrication oil from the railways. The obtained oil was distilled at a temperature range of 350-400oC. The physical and thermal properties of the refined oil were determined using the standard procedures. The CHNS and FTIR analysis were performed on the refined oil to determine the elemental composition. The properties were compared with diesel standards (IS 1460:2005) to ensure its re-usability in diesel engine. From the study, it is clear that refined oil have more than 60% of property similar to the diesel standard. Hence it can be termed as diesel-like fuel. The refined oil can be used in diesel engine with further optimization in its properties. Training/Internship attended : 1.
