Focuses on providing planning and project control support to Planning function for the Supervision Consultancy administration of Al-Bustan Street North Project. Provides a thorough review of construction program to facilitate on-time execution of project deliverables. Review/investigate the integrity of schedule updates against baseline and last update to identify any changes made for mitigation purposes, for possible fastest construction progress recovery. Changes of logic and out-of-sequence activities has to be documented and approved by the Senior Planner.
Coordinate with all Discipline Engineers (Underground Wet and Dry Utilities, Civil, Structural, Precast, Roads, Highways, Street Lighting, Landscaping, Etc) to maintain a single up to date register of project commodities status and data in preparation of periodic reports via Progress Measurement System which is to be validated at site location by both the Discipline Engineer and the Planner.
Prepare all periodic reports and presentations.
Responsible for review, comment and acceptance of LR&DP General Engineering Consultant’s design and construction for Local Roads, Drainage and Treated Sewage Effluent programme which consists of about 30, 000 activities with correct logic and multiple network paths, assuring that they clearly identifies deliverables in compliance with the Scope of Works and the Project Brief, fully resource and cost loaded to reflect the S-Curve and Manpower Histogram in compliance to the Progress Measurement System (PMS) and Performance Evaluation, thru Primavera 6 planning and project control facilities for the Design, Construction, Reliability and Handover of Local Roads and Drainage Project of Public Works Authority (ASHGHAL).
Prepare a monthly reports in accordance to Client requirements.
Update the programme for Ashghal Central Planning Office.
Collation and verification of material forecast from different consultants for logistics purposes.
Liaise with the other Planners for knowledge sharing for a better project control.
Responsible for the Contractors projects schedule review and approval making sure that schedules are fully cost and resource loaded to reflect the S-Curve and Manpower Histogram, monitoring, progress evaluation, delay mitigation and progress claims thru Primavera planning and project control facilities for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Initial Acceptance of MARAFIQ-YANBU Projects for Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Water Production, Waste Water, Technical Services, and Industrial Security System, including Sanitary Waste Treatment Plant and Industrial Water Treatment Plant Projects.
Conducts an Interactive Planning Session (IPS) with the Contractor’s team and act as their own Scheduler imparting them the importance of planning and project control knowing that it is the sole key in achieving project milestone mandated by the Contract.
To manage the plan and monitor the Contractor’s performance at site by requiring Primavera Schedule Update also known as Current Schedule reflecting Target Baseline, Earned Values, Current Total Floats, Variance Early Finish to see the number of days delayed or ahead, S-Curves, Activities that should start and are not, Activities that should be completed and are not, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), Actual Number of Manpower at Site, Tracking Lists for Engineering Submittals and the Monitoring Table for the Procurement of Long Lead Items. Work with the Contractor to ensure the project achieves key deliverable dates on timing, quality, consistency and continuous improvement thru achievable and realistic mitigation plans. Manage the planning effort and ensure delivery.

Responsible for Planning and Project Controls for the Construction, Commissioning and Turnover of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology which is being built in Saudi Arabia as an international, graduate-level research university dedicated to inspire a new age of scientific achievement in the kingdom intended for the benefit of the region and the world.
KAUST Academic and Administrative campus is made up of twenty-two buildings. Town Center comprises forty-nine retail and residential buildings, six civic buildings, and one structure depicting the landmark of KAUST (Beacon). Residential and Community Support Facilities comprised of 3, 139 residential housing units, three community schools (International and Harbor girls/boys), three early childhood centers, health clinic, petrol station, fire station, supermarket; Central Services buildings. (i.e. office services, transportation, storage, equipment maintenance, general warehouse, hazardous material facility, gardening & sanitation, central laundry, kitchen and the Central Services dining hall), four recreational and sports complex buildings, golf course, and all associated landscaping works. Utility Services comprised of roads network, four bridges & three pedestrian bridges over water canal, underground utility distribution network for electrical and other utilities such as chiller plant, Sea Water Reverse Osmosis/Desalination Plant, Waste Water Treatment Plant and a chemical warehouse and three electrical substations.
Responsible for the overall coordination of activities and development of plans for the construction and commissioning cycle of KAUST, which involves management of schedules, progress reports, and forecasting from the contractors.

The project is “Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) Jeddah Plant Stage-IV” which consists of 1500mm Dia. RTR Underground Piping for Oxidation Chamber and Absorbers, Pump House, Air Blower House, Compressor Housing, Electrical Control Buildings, Soot Conveying System, New Ducts & Dampers, Booster Fans, Fabrication/Installation of New Stack, Air Heaters and Electrostatic Precipitators.
Responsible to prepare the Project Time Schedule and Project Controls, gather information from the Project Management Team (PMT) to come up with the current project analysis as well as the Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reports.
The project was LSPB of “Plant Works Construction, Western Region” owned by Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), which consist of pipelines, civil, electrical, instrumentation and tank works for Additional Capacity Requirements of three(3) Bulk Plants located at South Jeddah, North Jeddah and Yanbu; Two(2) Grades of Gasoline Premium/Super, Oily Water System (OWS), Potable Water System (PWS), Foam Spray System and Technical Management System (TMS) enhancements.
Responsible to prepare the baseline programme and project control, providing the Project Management Team (PMT) sufficient information about the current status of the project, and proposals to recover delays if any.
There are three(3) action lists on my position as project control engineer namely: Daily Reports, Weekly Reports and Monthly Reports.
The project was EPC of “Off Plot Facilities for n-Paraffin & LAB @ Jubail” owned by GULF FARABI PETROCHEMICAL COMPANY, which consists of pipelines and tanks for Potable Water from Royal Commission, industrial waste and sanitary waste to Royal Commission, Hydrogen from KEMYA, Nitrogen from NIGC-GAS, Fuel Gas from Saudi Aramco, kerosene feed supply from SASREF, n-Paraffin and Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) for SABTANK and Benzene Supplies to SABTANK.
I was in-charge to prepare the baseline schedule which consists Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) activities, including resource allocations and risk analysis.
Performed project control and responsible to prepare the Weekly and Monthly reports.
Responsible for the preparation of all equipment fabrication schedules, i.e.; Pressure Vessels, Piping, Storage Tanks, and Electric Overhead Traveling Crane; utilizing FABTROL-Schedule Mate and MS Project; reflecting the resources required such as indirect manpower (for Engineering, Management Planning & Cost Control, Documentation, Supervision, etc.), direct manpower (welders, fabricators, machinists, equipment operators, painters helpers, etc.), equipments, tools and consumables. Including the milestone arrival dates of major materials and the scheduled execution of Quality Plan (Inspection and Test Plan) for ASME Coded equipments.
To prepare a manpower histogram after resource leveling and manpower allocation calculated from the approved man-hour rates.
To make sure that the budget man-hours should never be exceeded by the actual man-hours utilized.
To make sure that equipments are being completed as mandated by the Contract by close monitoring, relaying feedbacks about the actual status of the projects. Identify critical situations that could jeopardize contractual delivery dates and the reasons of delay, to resolve it with the management team for immediate recovery.
Responsible to prepare a “schedule update” to foresee future unpleasant events that will cause loss of time and money. It usually shows delays per actual progress and will cumulate more delays on the coming weeks unless the management team resolve outstanding issues that causes heavy delay. A "schedule update" gives us warnings/alarms or commendations, which when ignored could cause catastrophe, swiftly or over time.
