• Received Hands on Training:
1. Cognos Framework Manager - Learned Techniques and Best Practices for Developing Metadata Model, Building and Publishing Package.
2. Cognos Query Studio - Learned Skills for performing Ad-hoc Analysis, Analyzing Dimensional Data.
3. Cognos Report Studio - Learned Skills for Authoring Advanced/Complex BI Reports along with formatting Business Reports as per Users requirements.
4. DataStage Designer Client - Learned ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) jobs designing and scheduling using all data sources for Warid EDWH i-e IN CDR files, CRM oracle DB. Transformation and loading within Netezza DB.
• Data profiling of EDWH source systems i-e IN DR files, CRM and VAS DBs

CRM Billing System Upgrade:
Complete CRM billing system upgrade involved over all change in the Front end & back end data architecture as compared to its predecessor. From BI & DWH perspective, this was a big change to be incorporated in all of BI & DWH ETL processes & reporting tools design.
• Successfully completed data migration and consistency assurance of Scheduled reporting processes.
• Restructuring of existing processes and new developments in all the BI & DWH infrastructure reporting tools, in house developed solutions & databases especially Sales Channel Commissioning processes.
Roles and responsibilities in current role include:
• Design & implementation of a BI platform, adding value in new/existing reports/analysis development, testing and verification of reports. Ad-hoc and scheduled reporting.
• Query Optimization and performance tuning
• Commitment to quality from requirements through design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Optimization of Design and Post batch jobs to keep the batch execution time under batch window and to avoid deadlock in processes.
• SAS Cubes designing and implementation, retention of old Cubes. Dashboards and reports implementation basing on SAS Cubes and Data marts on SAS Web Portal. Implementation and administration of SAS ETL processes.
• Calculation of all sale channel commission and implementation of new commission policies.

Team Lead of Calculations Module: Lead a team of three team members to achieve all milestones of the development in the calculations module.
I was able to successfully complete the development phase of the project using power builder, VB.NET and Microsoft SQL server, development included Object Oriented Design, web service and Database Scripts development.
I have also successfully accomplished the development of Requirement Specification and Functional Specification milestones.
Lead a team in CMMI documentation development and audit.
Release Manager:
Development plans for releases and to ensure the time line is being followed by maintaining weekly development reports. My responsibilities required me to coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to manage the fault reporting, distribution and fixation process. And in turn the timely delivery of the releases, that helped me in enhancing my managerial skills.
