Leading the finance function with reporting to CEO and CFO. Managing a team of qualified finance professionals.
Reporting financial and operating performance to executive management, financing institutions, and other stakeholders. Resolving concerns to maintain stakeholder satisfaction.
Preparing budgets, monitoring progress and budget compliance, analyzing variances, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring implementation.
Preparing business startup feasibilities and presenting to potential financing institutions and investors. Coordinating with institutions to obtain and manage financing facilities for projects.
Finalizing company’s standalone and group consolidated financial statements. Leading the external audit, ensuring compliance with IFRS as applicable in KSA.
Overseeing annual zakat, withholding tax and VAT submissions. Maintaining compliance. Managing audits and refunds.
Managing the supply chain (temporary role for 3 years) - finalizing procurements and logistics orders, monitoring deliveries and services ranging from international shipping to offloading at project sites.
Performance reporting of the Group to shareholders - highlighting achievements and initiatives, analysis of actual results versus business plans and advising corrective actions.
Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with SOCPA / IFRS and lead coordination with external auditors.
Optimizing Group financial management
Finalization of annual business plans and Budget Package.
SBUs project management - in depth reviews of project accounting and reporting, revenue recognition, Costs to Complete and margins reporting.
Three companies under the Al Rajhi Construction umbrella - Al Rajhi for Infrastructure Works, Al Rajhi Advanced Construction and Pilex Foundation had one central management, with combined annual turnover of more than SR. 1 billion at peak. I was reporting to the Finance Manager and supervised a team of finance professionals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing company's banking requirements and relationships with bankers.
- Cash management.
- Monthly / annual closing, preparation of management accounts and group holding company monthly/annual financial reporting package.
- Leading the annual financial audit process and finalization of the annual accounts and audit report.
- Lead coordinator for EproMIS ERP implementation project.
- Monthly project cost reports and cost reconciliation with project management.
- Supervision of accounting and book keeping.
- Receivables management.
- Administering the payroll process, employee advances and settlements.
- Administering the project site cash imprest system.
- Coordination with internal auditors.
- Involved in establishing financial accounting systems and internal control processes through recommendations and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Involved in departmental organization activities including departmental structure, assignment of authorities and responsibilities, and employees' performance appraisal.
- Reports, analysis and special assignments for management and banks.
- Preparation of zakat/tax returns.
- Planning the audit engagement.
