- Following medical prescription, plan and carry out individual and group treatment programmers, by assessing patients’ physical state, in order to maintain, improve or rehabilitate the physical well-being of the patient and prevent physical handicaps.

- Actively monitor and report physiotherapy activities (correctly filling in patient files, forms, statistics, and reports) and analyze these statistics in order to improve quality service, preserving patient’s data traceability.

- Report to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines in order to implement the appropriate measures.

- Identify the patient’s needs for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) (feeding, dressing, washing, other self-care etc.).

- In line with prescription supplied by MDs, to undertake suitable physiotherapy treatments with additional exercises as needed.

- Discuss with Supervisor about special needs of the patient such as wheel chair and share or identify other actors MSF can to solicit support needed for the target patients. In agreement with supervisor, order and distribute items for patients and demonstrate how to use them.

- Communicate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding the patient problems, needs and progress. Consult with physicians in coordination with MAM when physiotherapy needs are detected or need to be revised.

- Uses all physiotherapy equipment, supplies and machinery properly and safely, and keeps the equipment and physiotherapy rooms clean and tidy after each use.

- Participate actively in multi-disciplinary meetings by sharing a professional opinion about the patient’s physiotherapy or functional status, evolution and goals as appropriate for the meetings objective.

- Record regular notes in the agreed manner in the patient’s file and include any changes of the patient’s status, therapy goals, OPD clinic findings and surgeries.

- Collect, records and submits quantitative and qualitative data in the designated register, or as requested by the supervisor
