Responsible for managing and monitoring all financial matters within the company, including development of internal controls, revenue control, budgeting and forecasting, oversees maintenance of accounts and ensures full compliance with applicable accounting and financial laws, standards, rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
• Drives development and implementation of Finance and Accounting policies and procedures and ensures they are being followed by the Finance team and company employees. Keeps abreast of the latest developments in finance and accounting standards and regulations and ensures that any necessary amendments are made to finance and accounting policies.
• Oversees development and delivery of financial reports to the CFO and assists him in provision of necessary resources for timely and accurate reporting of company operating results, ratio analysis and evaluation of the overall financial performance.
• Oversees maintenance of Company’s general ledger and recording of financial transactions, including payables, receivables, inventories and fixed assets. Leads preparation of periodic financial statements and provision of statutory financial information to relevant external institutions and government authorities.
• Manages and controls corporate bank accounts ensuring efficient utilization of financial resources. Handles all banking relations and bank account activities including negotiation of facility agreements, interest, fees and transactional charges. Manages and controls debt facility reporting and communicates with lenders to ensure debt agreement compliance.
• Leads development of financial business plans and develops and maintains operating, capital and cash budgets. Prepares and maintains regular monthly profit and loss and cash flow forecasts. Develops and utilizes projected financial models and insights into company operations and business plans. Reviews and appraises all business and functional plans, including new projects/ accounts.
• Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis by project by customer type. Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, and analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward. Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories. Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by project. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability. Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management
• Liaises with CFO and Senior Management on strategic business planning and periodic reporting on monthly/quarterly and annual basis. Reviews ‘Quarterly Financial & Management Report’ and interacts with managers in collecting data required to perform financial analysis and highlights significant variances, by budget line items, and provides explanations of company managers and their recovery plans to compensate for any shortfalls in revenues or profit margins as well as any cost over-runs.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the Company. Cooperates with internal and external auditors, provides them with any explanations they require, discusses their reports and seeks to identify deficiencies in the financial rules or internal checking systems. • Ensures legal, regulatory and risk compliance in all policies of financial matters.
• Analyses functionality of the implemented accounting and financial systems and drives implementation of new functionality to improve efficiency of the Finance team and to introduce e-reports to management.
