Mechanical engineering graduate with LEEA, having successful record of accomplishments as a Lifting Equipment Engineer . Hold excellent skills in the field of inspection, verification, certification, quality control, training and production. Well versed in conducting thorough examination of lifting equipment’s/lifting tackles, quality control surveillance during production of lifting accessories and nondestructive tests.
Planning and execution of inspection, load testing and certification of various lifting equipment’s/lifting gears in line with BS, EN, ASME, ILO, LEEA and LOLER. e.g.
• Mobile cranes, Lorry loader, Overhead cranes and Vessel Deck cranes .
• Industrial forklifts, telehandlers, Excavators, Wheel loaders and reach stackers.
• Crane gantries, runways and gangways.
• Electric/hydraulic/pneumatic hoists and winches.
• Storage and material handling equipment’s.
• Hand powered equipment’s, BOP hoists and hydraulic jacks.
• Mobile/aerial/suspended work platform.
• Lifting frames, spreader beams and A-frames.
• Offshore containers, man-riding and material baskets.
• Personnel protective equipment’s and personnel transfer nets.
• All kind of lifting accessories/loose lifting Gears.
Review of lifting plans, method of statements, risk assessments and procedures for critical heavy lifts.
Identifying, updating and maintaining technical standards, codes of practice, procedures and check lists.
Conduct destruction test and proof load test in 1, 000 tones capacity tensile test bed and certify the lifting accessories which are meet the standard requirements.
Training and assessment of crane operators, riggers, banks man and industrial truck operators.
Perform calibration tests, compressive tests and bollard pull tests.
Declaring the non conformance and compiling the defect notice to the client/contractors in reference to the international standards.
Provide testing facilities and arrangements for classification societies like ABS, BV, DNV, GL, LR, TUV and IRS.
Works in line with company HSE policy, ensures contractor, subordinates are aware of and comply with HSE procedures, rules and regulations for use of lifting equipment’s.
Consult with client representatives, welding contractors, QA/QC coordinators to determine the acceptable safety and quality standards are being achieved and maintained during NDT.
