• Understand the community development (PACE) methodology and work with grantees and community members to ensure the methodology is being followed.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners, Government counterparts and representatives of community and non-profit organizations.
• Understand assigned communities, work with community members and grantees to drive community independence.
• Train and support sub-grantees for smooth run of the grant implementation process. Collect documentation from grantees including programming reports.
• Advise RM and other senior staff on needs in the communities and develop concept notes for identified needs for direct implementation.
• Ensure any needed technical and administrative capacity building is provided to grantees or communities.
• Working with the RM/PM identify and procure any needed external support.
• Ensure all grants and regional activities relate to the reconciliation and social cohesion SCORE goal and objectives.
• Hold regular grantee meetings to share lessons learned and promote synergies between grantees and communities with RM/PM

• Under the supervision senior team members develops, monitors, manages, and evaluates small research projects and Research Support Projects
• Assesses proposals, including conceptual, methodological, operational, evaluative, and financial aspects.
• Identifies and develops research proposals in accordance with Centre policies.
• Incorporates, at the project design stage, plans for dissemination and utilization of research results.
• Negotiates with researchers to increase the use they make of research as input in policy formulation; and
• Prepares project documents for approval.
• Provides technical supervision, including analysis of interim reports, participation in workshops, literature searches, identification, and administration of resource persons/consultants in support of projects.
• Reviews final project reports of research results and negotiates revisions.
• Assist the proper and timely identification, design, planning, implementation and monitoring of designated projects and sub-projects at the district level as per the project document, log-frame, and M&E framework.
• Assist the efficient implementation of program strategies, processes, and procedures at the district level in accordance with UNDP rules and guidelines.
• Assist the regular monitoring of projects and sub-projects, and maintenance of updated qualitative and quantitative information to be submitted for M&E and reporting purposes.
• Assist knowledge building and sharing processes at project by documenting lessons learnt, best practices, processes, and challenges.
• Facilitate community ownership & participation in all stages of implementation process funded by UNDP.
• Facilitating collective actions at local level for common needs lead by community themselves
• Establishing continuous participatory monitoring mechanism for development interventions at village level and ensure beneficiaries involved in the system.
• Awareness creation on gender for community including men groups.
• Identifying the possible problems & bottlenecks effecting the implementation & report to UNDP field office with corrective measures in the timely & accurate manner
• Document, share and replicate good practices & lessons learned with other villages.
• Collect & record project specific information throughout the project period.
• Assist in collecting Base line/ End line information.
• Ensure the better functioning and sustainability of the development interventions initiated by each community and funded by UNDP.
• Liaise with Government Departments, INGOs/ LNGOs and all other stakeholders.
• Assist Implementing Partners in preparing progress / finance reports.
• Regular travel to project sites & prepares and submit required reports to UNDP.
Perform other duties as assigned by UNDP-Ampara office.

Successfully completed an Office Application Diploma course under Ministry of Education at computer resource center at Sammanthurai in Sri lanka
• Completed Diploma in Human Resource Management and awarded First class.
Completed a successfully Diploma in Conflict Resolution and Peace Preparedness.
Successfully completed 160 hour English certificate course at British Council i in Colombo.
