Taaleem is a chain of privately owned schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi operating in UAE educational market since 2004.
Main objective of this internship project is to analyse a current procurement process for services and educational resources (annual and routine orders). Based on the outcomes to recommend the process improvement strategies for the purpose of identifying potential savings.
LCME is a distributor across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for British automotive manufacturer Lotus.
• Worked closely with suppliers and customers to keep sourcing and distribution processes in line with the company’s supply and demand strategies aimed at cost effectiveness and lead-time efficiency.
• Processed invoices, credit notes and warranty claims to/from suppliers and customers, managing the accruals for the same.
• Coordinated vehicles and spare parts import activities with 3PL providers, coordinating the related documents from the manufacturer in order to comply with Dubai customs and import regulations. This helped to ensure on-time deliveries from manufacturer to customers.
• Carried out SWOT analysis of MENA region automotive market in order to identify distribution network set-up opportunities in each country.
• Managed the administration process for the hotel staff recruitment and leaving processes.
• Administered the smooth induction of new staff.
Donovon Group was an American company, an exclusive distributor of Ceelite LED lighting technologies in Ukraine.
• Managed relationships with global and local suppliers.
• Sourced, identified and negotiated prices with local supplies to help match the new technology into finished products to retailers.
This successfully improved sales by 30% and helped to reduce risk of stocking obsolete products that may not sell as a raw material.
• Maintained stock levels and stock accuracy of all inventory within the organization (combined push and pull supply strategy approach).
• In response to staff reductions formulated new work processes, which enabled the company to continue functioning at the same level as before.
