Supervising quality checks and performing laboratory tests (chemical analysis, hardness tests, and micro-structural analysis) on metal alloys.
 Supervising plant inspections and cleanings on regular basis.
 Monitoring and updating processes with current equipment and technologies and process protocols.
 Failure and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations on castings.
 Preparing of weekly and monthly production reports, investigation reports and project reports.
 Managing and resolving customer complaints.
 Reviewing of budgets and recommending cost reduction strategies.
 Implementing of R&D projects onto production floor.
 Technical support to sales, marketing and machine shop departments.
 Leading Quality Control and Quality Assurance towards attaining ISO certification.
 Conducting product support visits to customers and assessing ways to further improve quality of product on a minimal budget.
Charge make-up calculations, melting, casting and heat treatment monitoring and evaluation for various steel grades including Manganese Steel, Moly-Chrome Steel, Cast Steel, Stainless Steel, SG Iron and Cast Irons.
 Overview of sample preparation, chemical composition analysis (using Sprectromaxx Spark Emission Spectrometer), hardness tests (using EPX5500 Hardness Tester), impact tests, tensile strength and evaluation and review of microstructures (using a Metallurgical Microscope).
 Performing raw material inspections to ensure adherence to project or system specifications.
 Designing and implementing process control on raw materials
 Conducting process inspections with integrated statistical methods.
 Conducting research to develop and improve methods of sand moulding, melting, forging, alloying and pouring of various metal grades.
 Evaluating and updating of current processes and procedures as necessary, (Standard Operating Procedures)
 Conducting market research on customer specifications and ways to meet customer requirements.
