I currently work with the Project Management Consultants (PMC) in the Package Equipment department in India, for the on-going Dangote 650KBSD Oil Refinery Project, overseeing and reviewing the works of the EPCM and various package vendors before approval for construction. Technical review of design documents such as vendors drawings, PFD, P&ID with respect to PR and other contract documents and monitoring compliance of vendors/EIL to agreed design specifications.
Some of the packages I have worked on include Pneumatic Conveyor Systems, EOT cranes, Loading arms, Coalescers, Elevators, Sulphur Palletization systems, Weighbridge, HVAC, and other refinery packages.
DUTIES:
Design and detailed engineering training for 12months with Engineers India Limited, India, (EPCM for the 650KBSD Dangote Oil Refinery Project) where I was trained (both Classroom training and On-the-job training) on general refinery processes, equipment and operation. I worked in rotation with Rotating Equipment design team, Static Equipment design team, Packaged Equipment design team as well as Piping. Where I worked with the team and carried out actual design static equipment, engineering for procurement for rotating equipment and package equipment, attended model reviews, carried out technical bid analysis, as well as interacted with various vendors while carrying out design for procurement.
Some of the equipment I worked on includes Pumps (special purpose pumps, general purpose pumps, turbine driven, motor driven), compressors, STGs, GTGs, Heat exchangers, Pressure vessels, Columns, HVAC, Conveyor Systems (pneumatic, belt), EOT/HOT cranes etc.
I also worked with the Material Management Department in Nigeria at the refinery construction site, and responsible for material handling and equipment storage on site.
I was in charge of the fleets (trucks) management and business development. I interface with clients, negotiate and plan logistic resources (both trucks and human resources) to meet client needs.
I manage the account of Active Distributors and ensure business growth with my assigned territory.
Recruitment, training and accompaniment of secondary sales force team to ensure effective performance.
Development and management of both wholesale and retail sales channel within Abuja central territory as well as ensure distribution and availability of products in the right channels.
I ensure distribution and availability of NPDs in all available trade channels
I ensure the increase in coverage outlets both in the Open and Non-open channels with the Abuja Territory.
Compilation of coverage route, market data of brands as well as competition activities in the markets in relation to sales of products.
I maintain good and smooth relationship with customers both in the open and the non-open markets within the territory.
Monitoring of market activities as well as competition activities to recommend and plan promotions to make our products the best choice at every channel.
Monitoring of shelves to eradicate expired as well as defective products from the shelves.
Design of Domestic and Industrial Mechanical systems such as Air-conditioning system, sewage and water treatment plant, water and drainage systems and other mechanical installations.
Drafting and Printing of working drawings of various mechanical services using AutoCAD software package.
Preparation of bill of engineering materials using Microsoft Excel.
Maintenance and repair of Industrial and household Equipments such as Heavy duty power generator (50KVA- 75KVA), air-conditioning, water and sewage treatment plants, plumbing work etc.
