As the Finance Manager for Bahrain Operations of Chalhoub Group, I function as a Business Partner to the Country Manager & Senior Leadership of Chalhoub to effectively roll out, implement and deliver the Group Strategy, Direction and Objectives for the Country.
Pro-actively engaging with Commercial Business, Finance & Supply Chain teams in reviewing and setting of Budgets and targets, challenging commercial teams performance, margins, Buy-ins / Procurement and monitoring the sell-in and Commercial KPIs and performing internal benchmarking, evaluating and reviewing new store investments (CAPEX) and OPEX optimization.
Leading a team of 5, I am fully responsible for full spectrum of financial operations (financial planning & analysis, financial reporting & control and credit control) for distribution business, portfolio of retail stores and E-Commerce, providing accounting and VAT Support services to our Joint ventures and to develop trimester budgets and 3-year plans, represent the managed companies in Board of directors meetings, validate and sign off financial statements, engage with external auditors and responsible for Internal Controls and Financial Risk Management.
Also responsible for Treasury Operations, including cash forecasting, effective cash utilization and planning of credit facilities utilization, implementation of hedging strategies, FOREX management, relationship management with local and international banks and credit cards companies.
