Omar Bakeer

I am in charge of two separate construction sites:

1. Working on a High rise building consisting of 44 typical floors, 5 parking, and health club with swimming pool, service floor and Roof. I have been working on this project since the initial preparation phase which included activities such as NOC from municipality, Excavation, consent of municipality and other activities. At present, we have completed casting the building and we are starting with the finishing phase.

2. The second site I am responsible for, is a 3, 000 meters squared Mosque. At present, we have finished building the Mosque and we are starting to build the Imam’s housing.

My position requires discipline and organizational skills. I have spent countless hours of overtime at the sites making sure all of the tasks required of me are finished in a timely manner.

Trained at three different sites with the company, at each site I learnt something new, and was very fortunate that my university prepared me for these endeavors. While learning and working with the engineers on the site, I was able to recognize how the foundation of the structures were done and watched a mere foundation turn into walls then transform into columns and beams, and finally ending in slabs & finishing touches. My internship was a rewarding experience, the only thing missing was the authority to actually work and contribute fully to the building process.
