Recruited as General Manager to get the company to a new level. I worked on setting the strategy of transforming Galva Coat to a preferred solution provider in relation to poles, steel buildings, architectural metal works. The company will take projects from engineering concept to manufacturing and construction. This required a rebranding of the company to a new name “Galva Coat Industries”.
• Implemented new ERP System “Infor” and re-engineered all existing processes to have the following output: Paperless processes, Management and operational dashboards, Business intelligence through data enabling taking decision
• Implemented Lean Manufacturing concept and created a lean committee to manage the journey of change and monitor yearly improvement projects.
• Rebranded the company to a new name “Galva Coat Industries “and adjusted all marketing brochures, online presence to the new brand.
• Introduced new steel product and built an extension for the factory for taking structural steel projects.
• Re-built the engineering / estimation / project management team to be capable of supporting steel solution projects, modular steel concept and the new vision for the company. Also, the new team was able under my guidance to quote turnkey projects from design to installation with complex specification and contractual documents.

Recruited to be CEO of the company (having 3 factories) in order to readjust the operation and turn the company again into a profitable business. The agreement was to have a nomination of CTO for six months but with actual responsibility of a deputy CEO under the existing CEO in order to know all problems and have smooth transition with him.
• Re-built Engineering Team to be able to execute 2 big projects in trouble. One of them was turnkey project for modular steel buildings with all MEP and interior work to be shipped from Saudi Arabia to Algeria. The other was needing BIM capabilities in engineering.
Unfortunately, after Covid-19 started, the company vision changed in relation to recruiting a new CEO . I resigned because the company didn't agree on my condition to continue is to have the current CEO step out as agreed during recruitment

• Enhanced Steel Connection Design process by standardizing connections to suit our detailing software and by developing customized excel sheets and software. This allowed reduction of duration of connection design for each project from three weeks to one week.
• Enhanced accuracy of estimation by developing a detailed standard estimation sheet to be used by estimators.
• Mitigated risks by outsourcing and managing major critical engineering works to international engineering firms working in different time zones and locations (50 engineers working in Canada, Egypt, India and Philippines).
