Managing and supervising the construction of hotel 5 stars in Palm jumeirah B+G+15 floors
project (30000 spectator+ Hotel 4star+ training stadium 3000 spectator) and Ibn Sina technical hospital (20 floors).
Job description:
• Monitor project schedule and work with Planning team to document project progress and take action to address delays in schedule with contractor.
• Document and resolve issues related to non-conforming work and other difficulties and problems on site.
• Insure quality of work meets specifications and contract requirements.
• Directly manage field supervisors and inspectors and their training and take action on personnel matter in consultation with the Chief Construction Manager when required.
• Conduct Construction Project Meetings and record minutes.
• Evaluate Method Statements for contractor and subcontractor activities and Prequalification Documents for subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain lines of communication with Hill’s HSE, QA/QC, Planning, Commercial and Engineering Teams
• Coordinate with design consultants to address questions concerning design intent and execution of work.
• Maintain good working relationship with Owner’s Representatives, General Contractor and Subcontractors.
• Evaluate and comment on the contractor’s means and methods for execution of work
• Review the submitted structural drawing for all compounds.
• Review and check the civil and structural material submittal.
• Prepare the required list of the test for the material as per the related specification.
• Follow up, discussion and coordinate with the laboratory of the University regarding the test result.
• Prepare the Specifications for the project including all disciplines. (Architectural, Structural, Electrical, landscape and Infrastructure).
• Supervising the material sampling required for the test and visiting the related factory or resource (patching plant, quarry, …etc)
• Preform the material inspection on site.
• Supervise the site activities on daily basis to make sure that the contractor’s works as per the standard and specification.
• Checking the work schedule and giving advice to the contractor in order to expediate the progress of the work.
• Attend the progress meeting and taken the minutes of meeting.
• Review and monitor Contractor’s procedures/ practices for health and safety.
• Maintain record of Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and Contractor’s Inspection Request (CIR).
