Project: South Shamkha Development Infrastructure- Includes 58 nos. Distribution substations, main potable water pump station, LED street lighting, Traffic System, sewerage pump station, , etc.
Act as the ultimate resident engineer for electromechanical / MEICA aspects to achieve the overall functioning.
Review, approve Engineering deliverables, Contractors shop drawings, in compliance with the contract drawings, Project specifications, National and International standards.
Reviews, approves and processes all electrical technical submittals/material submittals and samples for compliance to the Project specification. Liaise on a technical basis with the CM/PM Manager, as well with the Client Engineers.
Review contractors correspondence related to electrical works. Issue the appropriate responses/Comments, when necessary.
Receive/action Request for Information (RFI) that apply to electrical works.
Review contractor’s electrical change/variation order proposals. Prepare recommendations to PM for approval. If warranted, assist in negotiations with contractors regarding changes in contract value or project duration.
Review contractors claims related to electrical works (CR/VO). Prepare recommendations for claims approval or rejection. Assist in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules.
Supervise testing (FAT, SAT, ) and Pre-Commissioning/commissioning of the works, Including HV and LV Switchgears in addition to Genset, HV Cables, RMU’s, Power Transformers, CCTV, SCADA System, STP, Diesel Pump Station, Water Pump Plant, Area Lighting & Telecommunication System.
Approve the contractor’s as-built drawings and O&M manual submittals.
Attend the the joint meeting with Client/PMC/Contractor as well as coordination meeting and technical workshops.
Prepare company weekly/monthly reports and addressing contractor area of concerns.

Omar helped to project manage works on this valuable development that included IFR responding, design review, planning and adopting adequate tools, skills, knowledge & technique to monitor/control project processes in addition to review/approve all project relevant M&E submittals as well as supervision pertaining to M&E design, material, shop Drgs, technical issues, MS & verification of delivered Material for road networks, infrastructure, power distribution systems, telecontrol/DMS, sewerage pumping stations & NW system, storm water, Street Lighting system, irrigation pumping stations & NW system and various site M&E construction. This privately-owned mixed residential-commercial-tourism Island development situated in Al Falah in the vicinity of Abu Dhabi City.
