Reviewing and contribute on the Work Program & Budgets for all the Operating Companies in Sudan Particularly gas potential.
Check and review the Seismic 2D & 3D designs and in the Acquiring Projects.
Check and review the Well proposals which is prepared by the operating companies for the Government approvals.
Assist the top managements to take action for the above.
Participate & contribute in the G & G, FDP studies.
Participates in the meetings with regards the new licenses of free Blocks.
Participate in the regular technical meeting (ETR, DTR, CTR, Workshops).
Reviewed and analysis Well Progress and daily drilling report in order to make sure that the drilling operation is in accordance with objectives and HSE as approved by the government.
These included all the managerial documents, decision making and G&G works such as monitoring the seismic acquisition and well operations.
Guided all the work done by the contractors to be accordance with the governments and company needs which include studies and objectives.
Field Acquisition Supervisors on behave of GRC Omanian consultant Company.
Follow up the 2d seismic program operation, QA/ QCed all the seismic data, make sure that the acquired data as required by the client in design, prepared the daily, weekly and monthly reports to the client,
Parameter test and select the optimum parameter for the project.
I worked as FAS for the Sharif 2D project over block 17 Sudan on behave of Geo-Resources consultant,
I checked the basic survey parameters like target depth, dips, area size, required resolution, calculate fold and offset distribution from the Survey Design, using Green Mountains MESA software for fitting sharif needs and budget.
my duties as follows:
1. Technical audits for the Crew.
I undertook independent technical audits to analyzed the technical performance of the crews.
• Receivers (geophones and recording equipment) completed in one full day.
• Source was dynamite, the blasting equipment timing is tested in a single another day
• Positioning networks/base station.
2. Parameter test:
• Different pattern was suggested to the crew, then we as a team chosen the optimum pattern for our acquisition survey.
• The optimum pattern was:
Source
- Three holes
- 9-meter depth
- 6 kg charge.
Receiver/ Shot intervals are 25/50 m respectively.
3. Daily routine work:
• The daily test in doghouse such as blaster, distortion, Noise, active channels, plotter, line layout.
• Followed up with QC crew geophysicist and Observer in the Doghouse to ensure the positioning and plan is as per our agreed.
• Verified and validated the SEG-Y tapes which was generated in the field.
• Geometry check & SPS files.
• Checked the tape header information as specified by Sharif.
• Checked trace header.
• Annotated noisy or dead traces
• Checked tape/cartridge labels and bar codes.
• Prepared spreadsheets and daily report for the client, as well as the weekly and monthly reports and the final report.:
used to work on the following:
1. pre-plan projects before going on site
2. design data acquisition plans
3. decide on suitable seismic measurement and data-processing techniques
4. observe the reaction of recording equipment to detect irregularities
5. use computers for data management, quality control and communication between the office and field locations
6. interpret and map 2D and 3D seismic data
7. measure reservoir volumes
8. assess potential oil and gas yield
9. Participate in design, test.
10. work closely with a small team of scientists and other staff who may be away in the field or offshore for several weeks at a time
11. compile charts and reports
12. write documentation and work logs
13. provide a range of geophysical support and technical advice and guidance
14. keep abreast of new and emerging technologies
